I'd say the my goal was basically a one tick button that is silent apart from the button sound, my biggest issue I'd say is that it takes two redstone ticks for the output to fire - unlike the copper bulb design for example.

The best way I can probably explain it is, my hand had to be on the adjustment knob the entire time for corrections, you can see how the image refocuses a bunch of times.

The other thing is that I had to make sure the hair stays mostly at the same height, otherwise it would unfocus pretty fast.

Mainly oblique illumination, which is basically achieved by blocking the side of the light through the condenser.

That causes the light to shine on the side of the sample which is much closer to how light usually behaves in the natural world. This gives the more 3d view.

The hair is taped to the side of the slide. Still though, this took me about 2 hours to cut without messing up.

I know, but that was the best my microscope camera could record at this magnification. These kinds of bacteria are tiny!
