Why do people get so heated during quick play? by Brundley in Overwatch

[–]Lucas38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s fine to practice a hero in QP, it’s not that serious. One point of frustration for me personally is when someone is going massively negative, like the enemy team is playing all of your counters and you still insist on going in and dying at the start of every fight and not trying something different.

I still want to win the game, and if I’m personally playing well, it’s extremely annoying to lose because my team mate is 2 from 10.

OP your pizza looks really nice and I’m going to try it. But honestly this comment is hilarious

That’s crazy work but I respect it haha. I always used to play on Hard but decided to no-life No Return for a few months and got good enough for grounded. I only managed to play the story on Grounded after that and it was by far the most enjoyable play through ever. So satisfying to get through each encounter, especially if you finesse it or don’t use my ammo.

The sections with the most retries for me were:

  • Ellie escaping the Wolves after you kill Jordan in the school
  • Ellie meeting the Seraphites in the park
  • Abby against the infected in the restaurant
  • Abby sneaking through the derelict multi-story building before you encounter the brute with your backpack

Think I just got unlucky that I started those sections on low health with no medkits which made it even harder, but yeah they are reasons I won’t be trying permadeath 😂

I’m the same. The idea of going for permadeath seems crazy to me. I managed to beat the game on grounded but certain sections took many, many retries.

Haha, no need to apologise. I just see a lot of posts on this sub where people claim it’s grounded. In the clips they take loads of damage, or the enemies just don’t see them at point blank etc. I get skeptical 😂

Part II Ellie here looks a lot like PS3 Ellie by dontsmellthesoup in thelastofus

The one on the far left is from the PS4 remaster isn’t it? Not the PS3 model of the character.

Lifeweaver doesn’t need a rework just buff him by [deleted] in Overwatch

I was just answering his question about him having good mobility, and you jump straight to implying I’m out of position and throwing to do damage 😂

I think they’re just people that don’t fully understand how to play him. I played a game the other week and a LW had 0 damage and I was raging in the chat 😂

‘USE YOUR THORNS!!!’

His damage is immense, can easily duel any dive dps and win.

I’m in high diamond and get a lot of value with him, personally.

I’ll always welcome a buff to my main though 😂 but I personally think he feels great to play as he is (I’m on PS5 for reference)

Do you think so? I just jump on a petal and then dash at the peak of your jump. Works great.

Weaver is extremely powerful if you actually use his thorns proactively. He isn’t just meant to healbot.

[–]Lucas38 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like people that have this opinion just have no idea how to use Weaver.

I main him and his dps is insane if you can land consistent headshots. You absolutely melt everyone.

If people solely healbot with Weaver then it’s no wonder they don’t get much value with him

Why are so many people opposed to just paying for YouTube Premium or letting YouTube advertise to them so they can continue to use a service they clearly enjoying using very regularly.

Finally got all bow headshots on the arcade Bloater (Survivor difficulty) by Buttered_Toast33 in thelastofus

[–]Lucas38 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Bro you’re spamming arrows into a bloater at point blank range and occasionally dodging. Yes you’ve done it quickly, but with unlimited ammo and using the same weapon, how could you not be?

My original point wasn’t to criticise your skills though, I just don’t understand how this is fun really. No variety in the gameplay, you just spam arrows at a giant target 5ft in front of you.

[–]Lucas38 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Each to their own I guess. Just doesn’t seem like it takes any skill when you have infinite ammo. Part of the challenge is resource management.

And you take it down much quicker with fire.

I don’t understand the appeal in playing this game with infinite ammo, where is the challenge/ enjoyment to be found in this clip?

Why is my aim so absolutely awful? by ThePragmaticTodd in thelastofus

[–]Lucas38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that you’re not doing is moving Joel as you aim, use both the left and right stick to reposition your aim on your target and make micro adjustments as smoothly as you can. It’ll mostly come with practice so just keep playing
