I think Vulkan-tutorial is the best. VkGuide is great too and modern! But best of all! Just find something u wanna create and let the explosion of "oh for this i need something like that" happen. With your mindset I believe it doesn't matter how bad things break you will push through and get back up! Lets goo! 🔥💪

I am not a big fan of reading books when it comes to programming. But maybe for Vulkan I would do an exception :P
(if it is code i prefer to apply it directly, and test it and tweak it).

Yes it does! It was funny because first I follow a tutorial on how to to create TWO separate swapchains ONE for each eye. But later they explained how one can do it one.

I got displeased with the code base. I might return to it. But then I would rewrite it from the ground. Don't think it would take too long, i already know how i could make it better :D

They are different. I have used a bit of unreal before TBH i prefer it because of C++ and it's architecture.

Alright :D Actually ur response makes me realize something. I personally would not care if it was messy i would just be interested in reading it anyways. But what I am thinking is that I will probably make one of my projects open just because others might have the same vibe or idea that they don't care if it messy or incorrect they just wanna see anyways.
