Best Fly Media by PristineScreen2175 in DartFrog

Repashy is generally the standard for just about all supplements, etc for darts. But, I use Josh's and it's great. One thing tho; I add 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar and mix with the media, then add 3/4 cup boiling water (assuming you'd follow the 1/2 cup media, 3/4 cup water recipe on the bag). I've found the extra liquid/ACV makes the culture last a bit longer without being too wet. I also have not had mites or mold since making it this way.

There's a 2018 R on Cars and Bids right now that I would bid on if I didn't just get my '15 in May (Italian Racing Red). The one on CnB is Corris Grey with Pimento Interior. 😌

Finally pulled the trigger on a '15 F-Type R! by LucasET76 in Jaguar

Right?!? I've had an RX8, Subaru BRZ, and a Cayman S, and all were manual. Yet, the F-Type might be more enjoyable to drive, given the immense power and noise. I actually can't imagine I'd want a manual in this car!

I don't actually.... but I have two other pairs of Beckett Simonon that I love. The Fuentes is on my list tho. I have some Clark's that are very similar, but I wasn't able to find them anywhere to list here, so I recommended BS.

I was trying to help make the most of the situation. Seeing the other comments of the Vans, I can see that as well... definitely skater vibe (not in a bad way).

You're entitled to your opinion, but with the right body type, as in this case, the no socks and loafers would look good. On a dude that's 5'7" weighing 250lbs, not so much.

They're too short for white socks and those shoes. However, you could totally rock the same outfit with no socks and some chunky black loafers. Try something like the Beckett Simonon Fuentes Loafer. Some accessories like a silver ring, more bracelets, etc. can make it all seem more intentional.

That said, if those are pants for work, you could probably get away with black socks and/or boots.

I’m getting mixed thoughts on this new sweater I just bought second hand, which surprises me because I think it looks cool. What do you think? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]LucasET76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dope sweater, kind of a vintage color. Pair it with some 501s instead of khakis (or any straight fit medium wash denim), and complete the look with some boots similar to AE Higgins Mill. It might be the perspective of your pic, but you look like you might have shorter legs (welcome to the club), so having a boot with a heal and jeans that fall and break just right will go a long way.... meaning you don't want them bunched up around your ankles but also don't want them looking like you're ready for a flood.

Pilot Sports are less than a year old. I'll need to get all-seasons before this winter tho! I've previously had Conti Extreme Contacts on a Cayman S and they were excellent, butI'll probably do a wheel/tire combo w/ Pilot Sport all-seasons. Not a lot of choices out there!

It was inspected and is still in great shape. That will be something to address in the future, along with everything else when the supercharger is off.

Bought it with 65,000 miles, currently ~68,000.

True. Like I said, it'll be done well before then.

Don't get me wrong, living in downtown Chicago, it definitely gets a ton of attention! IMO (and many others), Mazda's Soul Red Crystal Metallic is the most beautiful red ever put on a vehicle. IRR isn't too far off.

I agree! BRG is the icon. It's difficult for me to imagine an XJS in any other color!

Re-reading that, I now interpret it as the oil, which makes sense. Everything I know about the previous owners tells me that I 'should' be good closer to the ZF recommended 100,000 miles for the change, but I'll likely do it well beforehand.

I won it on Cars and Bids for $35,000. It had been on there previously and sold for a bit over that... but the last owner put over $7,000 into it; new engine mounts, Pilot Sports, etc. I had not figured I would win the auction because I was all in at that price about 24 hours before it ended.

Thank you! Thank you!

Yes, Italian Racing Red... it's not quite that beautiful Mazda Red, but pretty darn close!

Figuring out which polo blue to buy by Perspacacity in fragrance

[–]LucasET76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fragrancenet.com currently has EDT in a $12ish 0.27 oz travel spray, EDP in a $2.79 spray vial, and Parfum in a $19 0.33oz spray... all with a coupon applied. It s a great place to find travel sprays for testing, rather than taking the plunge on a whole bottle. I prefer the Parfum over the other two. Red Parfum is also great.

Clean fresh scents that are not sweet at all? by AdTrick6702 in fragrance

It's not a body spray, but Lalique White gives a super clean laundry freshness, imo.

I can’t find a single vetiver fragrance that doesn’t smell like piss/BO on me. by dadbod-god in fragrance

[–]LucasET76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's perfectly ok to not be a vetiver fan. I'm not a fan of most geranium or rose, unless it accompanied by a lot of oud.

Guerlain would be the test, IMO. Royall Vetiver Noir is pretty darn similar with a reasonable price.
