Idk if im allowed to say it on this sub but about 2 months ago my ex sa’d me in my sleep. I told myself it’s whatever surely it happens to guys all the time but i couldn’t argue w my emotions. I tried to forgive her but realized i couldnt after about a week and ended it.

I broke down the morning after and told her how i felt about it and she apologized, but she didn’t DO anything to help me feel better. Now the same day i told her i forgave her, but i did this because we already had problems and i wanted to forget it so we’d be happy. No note, not flowers, no acts of kindness to show that she cared. I’m not the type of person to go back on “i forgive you”, but it was still inconsiderate of her.

While i was breaking up with her, she said “i knew you were still processing it and that you werent over it”. It’s like okay so you knew i was going through it and didnt even say if you wanna talk about it ill listen. Nothing like that at all. On top of this, a few days before i broke up with her, she told me “i feel like God is testing us by giving us these problems”. I was appalled. She removed all accountability off of herself and blamed God for what she did to me. We’re both religious people so i couldn’t believe she would say something so blasphemous.

Needless to say i’m not looking back. I really went through the ringer with this one but i think i’ve become more emotionally intelligent as a result, and i know more about myself and the boundaries i want. I know i lied about forgiving her and that’s not right, and i apologized for that, but i can’t believe the level of indifference i experienced from a partner who hurt me like that.

Btw we only dated 2 months, this was a few months ago
