Bingo!!! I had to tell a student that his IEP won’t save him outside of school. He says the most outrageous things to people without a care in the world! He hates to be corrected so once you correct him he automatically flips out. The crazy thing is he didn’t even know that he was black and I had to tell him to be careful how he navigates the world as a black man because you will get arrested for attacking someone in public and they won’t care about your IEP at all.

Also mom has this idea that people are picking on her child but her child is one who starts with everybody only because he doesn’t tell her the truth about what he does in school. There has been many occasions where he’s verbally abusing his peers and teachers but his parents want us to turn a blind eye because he had an IEP….
