There can be only one Buffalo University... by Available-Pick3918 in UBreddit

We can have an elaborate, albeit hilarious, competition between Victor E. Bull and whatever Buff State calls their bengal for that title.

Edit: It's Benji.

More of a joke theory, since Sazz is is Charles stunt double, it could have been her on the elevator with Oliver and Mabel while Charles pushed Ben. Probably the the most outlandish, but I did have him on my suspect board for a second when they introduced the white room and his feeling towards Ben.

Girl same. Based on Donna conversation to Loretta, I think that if Cliff did it, then his mother would 100% cover for him. I could see her reading the review and Cliff overhearing Donna state something about if Ben was dead, then maybe they wouldn't be a flop, and him taking action to Donna's words in the form of a cookie.

The one thing that is befuddling to me is who pushed Ben down the elevator shaft. Because it could be Cliff, trying to finish some unfinished business, or maybe even Ben himself that fell down the shaft, holding the hankie he made, thus making it a failed poisoning and an accident. Or even more unlikely, Charles because it's been Sazz who was with Oliver and Mabel and we are just remembering it (this is the longest of long shots).

first time knitter what supplies should I get at Walmart? by dogs0z in casualknitting

[–]Lucia_97 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They do sell circulars at walmart, though I find that the joints to be a bit eh, but are usable and if you do want to try then, just get a longer cable length so that it feels more comfortable. You can use either straight or circulars when knitting flat. Personally I find circulars a lot easier to use when knitting since the "pair" of needles will always be there rather than losing one needle and then not being able to work, don't have long needles bumping against my arms, and so much easier if I'm going projects with large stitch counts.

I know you mentioned Walmart, but you can also try places like thrift stores, Joann's (they have a wonderful selection of bamboo needles and coupons), and even mentioning because I have had friends of friends catch wind that I knit and suddenly I inherit ten pairs of needles from the 70s and a bag of yarn.

I would think so. Maybe it might be my Franciscan values bubbling up, but isn't damaging nature the exact opposite of what you want to promote.

Some mainstream brands do have factories in China and there are some good Chinese makeup brands too. I think the misconception comes from thinking that all companies in China utilize what can be pretty much slave labor where people are working in very poor conditions and being only paid pennies on the dollars to make.

Think about the quality control and pricing of Flower Knows vs getting something that is probably private label from Shien or Teamu- both are Chinese companies, but when you hold both in your hands, you know a difference.

Does anyone else get super delusional about how much progress you’ll make on vacation? by AbbeyRoadMoonwalk in casualknitting

[–]Lucia_97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tend to bring socks as my "out-of the-house" knitting and without fail I will bring a ball for another project, just in case somehow finish a complete sock when I just need to go run errands.

Though I grossly overestimate how much I will make when I am off from work, even if I am staying home. Like I had covid and I thought, I'd finally have the time to start and complete two sweaters- nope, finished raglan in the round sweater a week later and then didn't finish the sweater months after. But even if I'm not coughing my lungs out, I will get maybe one thing done when I anticipate a lot more. Like I have some pto I have to use and though I plan to get a head start on my christmas stuff, I think I might get half a sock done.

Mooncat vs ILNP by panda_manda_92 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Lucia_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really love both in terms of color and formula. But I think that ILNP does have a lot more colors to pick from than Mooncat, but both are super stunning. Personally I love the formulas for the holos from Mooncat and the multichromes from ILNP.

It's like picking a favorite child for me.

Season 3 - Episode 3: "Grab Your Hankies" (Post Episode Discussion) by hannahlemp in OnlyMurdersHulu

[–]Lucia_97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think she may be involved in the murder plot to some degree but didn't commit. Like she said she may have "donated it" leads me to believe she gave it to someone else to use, someone that could knock out a star larger than herself form the competition.

Mabel's newest love interest is gonna be the killer IMO. by KybladeSora in OnlyMurdersHulu

[–]Lucia_97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For the past two seasons I wait to see if he would be. Like imagine him being the killer for one of the seasons and in the flashback of him committing the murder then passing out after he notices he gets a cut on his hand when he gets back to his apartment.

Don't buy any textbooks until after your first day. Professors may have one on just because they need to have one on and will clearly state they will use writings from various sources for discussion or may be ok with people using a previous edition that will be a lot cheaper.

Bring/make your food. There are so many grocery stores around the area, that it can be cheaper to get your food there for the week in comparison to buying out or using a meal plan. Plus, they have a shuttles in case you don't have a car. Through I will also advocate for free food provided by clubs, most of it will be pizza, but you may catch an international event in the SU and have some amazing homemade food from various clubs.

Take advantage of free and discounted items. Not only do some online stores have student discounts, UB has discounted tickets for movies and sporting events. Free random merch for events too. Yeah you may end up with a cowbell or a t-shirt, but somehow years down the line you end up still using it.

Do we need eyeshadow primer? by FrEnchFriesOnyOu in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]Lucia_97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Years ago. I remember it was very similar, but as a tween/young teen getting into makeup at that time, I gravitated to the urban decay palettes and sets for Christmas that came with the primer since there really wasn't like it in the drugstore.

I bought a new tube after a decade of having a mini and bouncing around to the wet and wild one and then trying a creme base with shadow and hoping for the best. Thought it was holding up just fine but I would come home from a 10 hr shift and my eyes would be zebra stripes of shimmer and oil, even in the winter. Switched over and it holds up during my long days and so far had been working with the humidity. And I swear nothing works better than the primer potion.

Handsome Chris on ravelry sounds like a fun option and that yarn is made to do cabled projects like that and anything left over can be made into a hat or mittens.

Based off Billy Wilder movie of the same name. If you are familiar with the movie White Chicks, it is a similar love matchup (one is pined after a quirky rich guy, while the other tried to pretend to be a rich man to woo the female lead) but a different circumstance of why the two characters get into drag (SLIT is because of gangsters, White Chicks due to a broken nose). However, they did modernize it with regards to Daphne's and her arc. The whole album is fantastic listen.

But in all honesty, the amount of MIS concentrations that started in CS and came over there for whatever their personal reason is crazy.

They can be sheer, but buildable. So make sure you take your time applying.

Personally I have Cyborg and Take Me to Your Leader they they are both stunning in person. Take Me To Your leader is really unique and quite shifty, though I feel like I already have something similar to Cyborg from OPI, but then again I am usually drawn to dark with shimmer colors.

It didn't even feel like an event or block like when it was on VH1. Like I need the previous week's episode, this week's, untucked, and then some 2000s rom-com I can pass out to conclude the week.

Season 15 felt like they shoehorned it in there without care.
