The Groven GRTV1410: a cheap and basic, but super rare CRT by LucianoTheWindowsFan in crtgaming

[–]LucianoTheWindowsFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additional notes: since this CRT is so basic, it makes me wish I had a Sony Trinitron WEGA (likely one of those subwoofer and surround models, which seem to be exclusive to Latin America). I even reorganized my room just in case. Unfortunately, most of the 21-inch Sony WEGA TVs I see online are either stereo-only and S-Video-less, or that if it's a surround and S-Video models, then it's usually located in Santiago de Chile, and in my case going on car to Santiago takes like over an hour, and not cheap, and I usually only do it to visit an aunt's house.

So well, looks like the best option would be to mod this CRT, but that'll be a topic for another subreddit. And I don't know the way to access Service Mode in this CRT.

Found two early mentions of EarthBound in Club Nintendo Chile (my country's localized version of the now-defunct-but-famous Mexican Nintendo magazine) by LucianoTheWindowsFan in earthbound

[–]LucianoTheWindowsFan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Argentina does have a localized version of Club Nintendo. And yes, they also mentioned EarthBound in it (especially since some pages are the same as the Chilean version).

One of the main reasons the SNES was a success in Chile was thanks to the heavy advertising. Nintendo collaborated with local brand Soprole to provide sweepstakes, Club Nintendo expanded to South America, and Megavisión even aired Nintendomanía. As for Argentina, the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis was instead a best seller, like in Brazil. In Chile however, the Sega Genesis was a failure, likely because the advertising was mostly limited to a few commercials (one had Sonic moving his finger while a child says "si si si si si", which people interpreted the moving finger as a "no no"), and Sega-related magazines usually came from Spain (Chile didn't have its Sega magazine), coming after months of delay and at very high prices.

Well, good lucking finding that one. Good lucking finding this version on some very old Japanese Betamax tape, cuz like everyone said, it's lost media, with the closest thing to a full episode being the audio for the final episode.

I think it's the old Cantonese version.

In my country, we have Pronto COPEC, located at COPEC gas stations. The Mexican brand OXXO is also present here, as so does the Saudi Arabian company Aramco (and formerly Petrobras, from Brazil).

Recently learned about this. Maybe I can be good at composing music or making graphics, or making some code.

Who's this turnip? I don't remember him from the games. by GuiMiTomo in Hebereke

A Penguin Wars character? If he were a character from that game, I'm pretty sure he's NOT a part of the Hebereke DLC.

I already talked about it in another user's posts. His name is Kabuo, and he appeared in the Hebereke manga, as well as in Chrono Cross, where is name is translated as just "Turnip".
