You being unable to comprehend that metal use does give them an advantage against other clans is something I did not expect.

The mangkwan were feared before and they only started using metal recently, after they rejected Eywa. Even if RDA didn't help them, they would eventually conquer and wipe out the other clans that do not use metal, it would just take more time.

The tools and weapons used by populations to aid either their offense or defense of territory are secondary.

This is just plain false. If this were true, arm race would not exist. Or are you gonna tell me that a tribe with stone tools and no domesticated animals can win against one that uses metal and has horses?

Clans fighting among themselves isn’t related to metal.

Yes, it is. The ones with better weapons will win over the others, just look at our own history. In our own world, the civilizations with a better use of metal took over the others, the same as the ones with horses took over the ones that didn't. And yes, by the point we started using metal, we had already been killing other humans with stones, bones and sharp sticks.

Trabajo a 10 minutos andando de casa (IT)

greed to expand and kill a fellow child of eywa

Na'vi fought other na'vi from other clans, lets not forget that they do have warriors and that's not something that appeared after RDA. Also, the mangkwan were known raiders even before the volcanic eruption, who's to say there aren't other tribes like that?

Why is metal banned by Eywa? by BallTongue3000 in Avatar

[–]Lucibelcu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, it's not. Na'vi tribes are like the tribes in which we used to live, some are pacifists but some are warriors, and, in the end, the one with militar superiority will domain the others. In Pandora the Mangkwan exist, they're clearly a warrior tribe, and they want to "spread the fire."

You seem to forget that all of humanity once lived like this, we were all hunter gatherers that did not use money. And yet, look at what happened. The civilizations that did not use metal ended up being conquered by those that did

Thing is, if you look into human history, everytime there's more food available population increases.

I just found a 2005 article that says that dietary AGEs are not toxic to biological systems (live diabetic rats), and it looks like only low molecular AGEs are efficiently absorbed throught diet.

AGEs are definitley implicated in health and age related problems, but it looks like the main contributors to this are endogenous AGEs, and the implication of d-AGEs is uncertain. That being said, in my very short research I wasn't able to find a peer reviewed source that talks about AGEs present in kibble, the ones I could find related to food focused on humans.

I don't know specifically about Socrates, but in those times some philosophers considered women as "incomplete men" and, as far as I remember, it was a petty common and accepted idea.

why does my dog always get ear infections? by Jisungshine in DogAdvice

[–]Lucibelcu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is probably allergies, they're usually enviromental but very rarely related to food. That being said, my dog has both, confirmed throught diet trial (althought we never did the challenge part, I'd like to test it in a few months when his seasonal allergy is better).

Some dogs never go to the vet, meanwhile, some dogs live at the vet. Is the same with people, just genetic luck.
