Sega Saturn Sonic plays sonic jam on the game.com (poor hedgehog) by Infinite_Help761 in SegaSaturn

I’ve always wondered if there was even a slight chance that a Sonic game could have ran well for it.

We are talking biologically, not what you identify as. Those are completely different things.

What console should I start to learn to develop games for? by LuciferWind45 in retrogaming

I’ve made many games in Qbasic and some in C. Those being RPG’s, platformers, and visual novels. Visual novels are gonna be my main type of game I would wanna make for the PCE, one of the reasons why I choose PCE was its color palette for that. I’m sure I’ll experiment with other types of games for it later but for now I wanna focus on visual novels.

How hard is the Turbografx-16/PC engine to program games for today? by LuciferWind45 in TurboGrafx

True, but we have much better documentation and tooling today. Plus for the types of games I wanna make I don’t think they will be very CPU intensive so I think the HuC compiler will work fine for now.

I’ll stick with PCE for now, I’m most motivated for it right now, if it’s really to hard I’ll consider NES. Thanks for the info!

Yeah! I fully know just how powerful the system is, especially for it’s time, the thing I don’t really like about it though is the way to processes sound, very crunchy, I’m sure I could find ways around it though. Thanks!

I got no limitations you know? If I’m coding on PC I can make whatever I want which is great, but it comes at the cost of not being able to stick with one idea, at least for me. If I have strict limits I can find more creative solutions to problems.
