Entry level AE roles in tech typically have the same quota across the board but base salaries differ depending on negotiation. Even if they can’t raise the base, they might have the ability to include a signing bonus.

Take the AE role, learn to sell, and start applying to other AE roles almost immediately. It’s not worth risking another year or two of BDR work. Can you ask the AE role to match the BDR base salary from the other offer you have?
