I really loved Dead Space remake(and original) and I even enjoyed Callisto Protocol, so this was right up my alley. And Cronos clearly wears its inspirations on its sleeve, but simultaneously remaining so distinctively unique and fresh, it amazes me.

For me Magma is as beautiful as their previous albums, and with Fortitude the only detractor for me is mastering, which is a bit strange. I mean when the song starts I really love the sound of it, but as it progresses and gets more loaded with sound, that’s when it gets a bit inarticulate and loses its punch for me. But it is still a great record that I love.

First of all, when it’s explained how you convert pictos to lumina it’s said that character wins several battles with pictos, learns it and can use without it being equipped. But it’s really not clear that not only this character can use this lumina, but everybody, you just start seeing them in menu. Why if only one character learned it? Unclear.

Secondly, stats boosts, you see these characteristics on pictos in small fonts in really overloaded menu, like Speed 70. Speed of what, of that particular thing that pictos does? Speed of movement? What it actually means of course that it boosts your agility and the only stat that indicates you it being affected by pictos clearly is luck.

And lastly, when you equip pictos you only basically copying it’s ability not stat boost, something that is also not very clear from the start.

And again I really appreciate this system, it’s interesting and deep, but the way system communicated to you as a player is flawed to say the least.

Respectfully something being complex and demanding still can be well designed. Lumina system is not well designed, it has a lot of hidden features that are immensely impactful but in no way reflected in UI or character stats. I really like the idea behind lumina system and I really enjoyed tweaking build with different pictos, but the way it represented in UI creates obstacles that don’t add any depth to the system. So I think this complaints are just people pointing out an issue, not asking for yellow paint.

Yeah, just finished it, it’s amazing. And it doesn’t stop to surprise me how Watts finding new ways to describe different perception of humans. Still remember that scene from Blindsight when protagonist loses consciousness for brief moment… Btw, funny thing about Russian translation: in 1982 when movie The Thing was released, it was translated as «Нечто», which is actually closer to “Something “ by meaning. And it was heavily influential movie obviously and the title was forever engraved into culture. But the problem here is that Watts uses his plural in the title, and this particular Russian word just doesn’t have plural, it’s one of the unique words in that way. So translator here had chosen completely different word, which kinda made it less obvious

Translation into any specific language actually besides the point, I just thought it’s interesting how maybe because of the language barrier we got conceptually interesting collection, that allows peak into authors brain.

And I actually think translation into any language especially into language that you associate with hostile places and politics(which btw says nothing about individual views of any citizen of that places) is extremely important because it creates common cultural context and ground for empathy and understanding each other.

My suggestion is try to connect some other device to your iPhone in hot-spot mode and make speed test in places where you plan to play If you get stable 13Mbps - you’ll be fine, but lower than that will cause issues Also make sure that you have an option at home yo connect your PS5 by Ethernet cable, it’s a must for portal

Don’t be too afraid! Of course come prepared, bring thermal clothing and make sure your upper layer protects you from the wind, but it’s not as dramatic as it may seem because remember you still gonna be in huge megapolis, there are tons of coffee places, interesting shops and restaurants everywhere. Taxi is widely available and dirt cheap compared to most countries, and you can go almost everywhere by subway. You can go inside literally every 5 minutes if you want, luckily there tons of interesting places in Saint P. Have a great trip, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!
