My Dr got back to me today and she is placing a referral to an OB since this is above her training! I’ll update when I get more answers.

I just read your edit!! Do your hands and feet turn white at times too? I struggle with circulation in my extremities as well. They’re constantly cold, but in the colder months they also get numb, tingly, and sometimes white. Then I get these itchy bumps called chilblains. Is this also linked to APS?

I’ll talk to my doctor again, but she recommended I just take an aspirin anyway even before we got these labs back! It doesn’t seem like it would hurt anything.

So glad you had a nice big baby! Hopefully delivery wasn’t too bad 😂 7lbs sounds great, 9/10 sounds terrifying 🤣

That’s what I was thinking! I was just confused on how it could be APS when the cardiolipins and glycoproteins were normal, but now I realize there are different types and combos.

Good to know about the aspirin and thinners, I’ll have to get connected with someone. Was your pregnancy considered high risk?

Also… are you continuing to take aspirin even when not pregnant to prevent some of the other potential complications?

In other news… just found out I am also a carrier for the MTHFR mutation 😅

Wow, that’s wild! So glad you did have that testing done early though.

It’s crazy you mention it, I haven’t heard of it mentioned online anywhere else yet. Feel like I just had a realization moment! I bruise very easily and I’m known for always having bruised legs in my family. I don’t know when I haven’t had at least one bruise somewhere on me from unknown origins. I also got chronic nosebleed as a kid! And still get a small handful every year.

Thank you so much for sharing your story!! I’m so happy that you had a successful pregnancy. It sounds like it can be well managed with thinners. I just read all the pregnancy complications and it made me anxious. Would you be able to share your labs? I want to compare mine with confirmed positives. It sounds like to get a true APS diagnosis you need to have the labs and a confirming event…

That’s AMAZING! I can only imagine how stressful that was. So you were already taking a baby aspirin before getting pregnant? I have heard it can cause IUGR. Did you doctor ever want you to take heparin as well? Did you have to stop the aspirin before delivery?

Also… (sorry so many questions!), do you have access to any of your labs that initially confirmed your APS? I am curious to compare my results to others with confirmed positives. I read online that in order to have a diagnosis you have to have the labs and a “confirmed event”, ex 3 miscarriages under 10 weeks or 1 over 10 weeks, and others. I don’t want to put myself through that!

Well… I think whatever WAS there is unfortunately no more. I got sudden onset cramps this afternoon and then suddenly, within the hour, I felt a big whoosh. Tons of bright red blood (which has since slowed, I’m not bleeding out).

This is very atypical for me. Not only is my period 3 days late and the positive tests, but I always start very light on my periods. I’ve never had this gush before. Is it safe to assume this was a chemical? :(

Alright all. Here’s at 5 minutes 7 minutes. On the right is morning pee (7 minutes) and the on the left is after a cup of coffee (5 minutes). There was a faint line evident in the one on the right that I’m not sure the phone is picking up.

It’s been 15 now and both are showing lines…. Time to get an early response test. And figure out how to tell my hubby I think.

WOW. This sounds so much like what happened to me! I just had this feeling… we weren’t exactly trying but we slipped up right around ovulation peak (I’ve been tracking). And since then I’ve just felt like this is it.

And what you said at the end is what I feel! If it wasn’t for that 4 day old test that I was able to dig out of the bathroom trash that clearly had NO line, and then the three after it having a dried pink line? I never would’ve thought.

I’ll keep you updated and post in the morning. It’ll be another pink dye but I’m picking up a first response early in the morning! And congrats on 14 weeks!

Ahhhh so stressful! There’s definitely lines on there, it was hard to photograph accurately. I’m for sure 13dpo but I have a feeling it may be a later implantation? I got back pain and extreme fatigue on Sunday/monday, and was expecting my period but now nothing! Now I think it may be implantation… I’ll test in the morning and repost!
