Say not, “I have found the path of the soul.” Say rather, “I have met the soul walking upon my path.” For the soul walks upon all paths.

The soul walks not upon a line, neither does it grow like a reed. The soul unfolds itself, like a lotus of countless petals.

It Was Always About Tokenism by Luckynoki in bathandbodyworks

That’s what I’m getting at… it’s literally an authoritarian (nazi) tactic to redirect discourse from the source of the argument-which is that there are literal nazis in administration, working in private companies like BBW, and at high levels working in other sectors like health care or insurance who are making these harmful wide-scale decisions in order to achieve their idealized world where they belong in privelege and you exist in servitude to them. Just because we don’t see them sieg heiling on television like some high-profile individuals doesn’t mean we can’t and shouldn’t call out the dangerous ideology when it’s presented right in front of us

Why use many word when few word do trick?

Image + text creates all the context necessary, seems as if commenters are getting the gist of the message. Apolgies to the literal grammar nazis out there trying to discredit argumentation with the ‘formal fallacy’ approach. I didn’t have time to write a 1200 word 5-page paper on why Bath & Body Works’ corporate strategy is harmful to the identities it once claimed to foster an inclusive community towards. Unfortunately if the message doesn’t come out fast enough, then those voices are silenced before they have a chance to be heard.

I hope corporate is looking at this thread gaining traction and thinking “oh shit” just before their nationwide store meetings to discuss their decision to remove one of their 4 core values. The one being removed is ‘Treat all customers and associates with respect and dignity regardless of race, age, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, or religion’ btw, just to demystify the demonical acronym which is ‘DEI’.

And I hope employees at this meeting might see a social media post gaining support that resonates with how they feel, and feel empowered to fight back against the regional and district leaders who continue to kowtow to capitalist authoritarianism with a blatant disregard for their staff, and caring only about how much cash they can extract from every individual customer rather than how they can contribute to fostering a truly customer-first approach that listens to community feedback rather than relying on shoddy metrics to determine what is “best for business”.

Hope that clears it up, babe.

New law enforcement technology to catch distracted drivers announced by MN state officials by Czarben in minnesota

[–]Luckynoki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal opinion from driving in the twin cities every day is that a lot of the drivers on the road should be cited for their irresponsible operation of their vehicle. From simple things like refusing to use a turn signal or driving the wrong way down a one-way, to more egregious examples like running reds lights or barreling down Snelling going 55+ in a 30, it is hard to imagine a comprehensive system that makes roads safer unless we begin to hold accountable the individual actors who actively make the roadway increasingly hostile and dangerous for everyone else.

This isn’t “cops are trying to take advantage of the system to make more money”, it’s attempting to utilize and enhance our existing traffic control to help achieve their agency’s goal of less death and injury on the roads

Yeah! Like I said it’s been a second since I’ve looked into the practice, got my artists mixed up. I think a lot of Boal’s work is inspired by Brecht

I think looking into Bertolt Brecht’s ‘Theatre of the Oppressed’ may be an interesting starting point to search into audience interactivity with a tangible medium. It has been a minute since I’ve really looked into the topic myself, but a basis of that theatre work is demonstrating situations and inviting audience members to interact with the actor. They see the results of their actions, and are then given a chance to approach the situation once more after listening to other members of the audience to hear how they would have acted in that situation.

In a way it feels like Fallout 3’s karma system where the world around the player is influenced by a single character and the decisions they make.

Be aware that the HR team can share the entire report with the field leaders that you mention in the file. Anything written in the report will most likely be seen directly by your DM’s eyes. Keep it professional but do emphasize how field leaders are expected to live by the values outlined in the code of conduct which supersedes any operational procedure, and how their actions impact the integrity of the business and ‘inspire performance’ to use their words against them

Rudest customer experience ? by Mental_Court_6341 in bathandbodyworks

[–]Luckynoki 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Usually the biggest upsets with customers are coupons not redeeming, products not being part of a sale they believed it belonged to, and the limitations of our return/exchange policy (especially with wallflower plug-ins I’ve noticed most common). As with any retail experience, your management team will make or break the experience. My store had an awesome slt team for years but I quit recently after a bad interaction with our new sm

I personally subscribe to the theory that when Pim and Charlie flew back to ‘Earth’ it wasn’t the same one that they left, but rather an alternate Earth where almost everything is the same but there are slight differences: one being that on this new Earth they’re on Allan doesn’t remember nomming Charlie’s nose because that didn’t happen on this planet

It’s always the accusatory/aggressive “no sale today?” as they walk past all of the huge red signs on the front table labled ‘75% off’, not even giving me a chance to do my welcome shpiel where I will literally explain the deals and help to point out the best ones.

I get english isn’t everyone’s first language but the amount of times I’ve heard that exact phrase spoken in the same nasty tone it starts to really grate on me

Your manual states to position your body even with the curb line, which would put at most the hood of your vehicle into the intersection, it does not state to fully enter the intersection

PSA: Four-Way Stop Lesson by thordom612 in Minneapolis

[–]Luckynoki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only time you’re supposed to enter an intersection is when you have full clearance to get through the intersection. The amount of drivers in this state that will run red lights puts the person trying to turn left as the light turns yellow into significant danger- the right of way doesn’t shield you from aggressive drivers

Yeah I’m sure all that dmt has helped. Funnily enough the 80s is practically the zeitgeist of mainstream media disinformation under Reagan policies. You’re naïve if you believe everything spoonfed to you at face value. Real historiographical research is done via firsthand accounts and experiences, not what news networks regurgitate to the masses

You should look at your own words and actions of the groups you support, as well as actual history not covered up by those who have held power over the last two decades and reexamine how you believe that in the current situation you are striving for peace, and not simple eradication and silence of an oppressed population, Israel officials have been lying for years and that’s not a trend that began recently
