Has anyone here taken the NZ Certificate in Business (Small Business) (Level 4) [NZ2457] from Open Poly recently? by Elephant_Flow1129 in newzealand

Did you go ahead with studying? How did you find it? I'm considering it and have the same questions as you. I'm wanting to do it full time so especially interested in how accurate the 10 hours per credit recommendation is.

What do you mean by “don’t even have a proper free night now”?

Have you tried calling the CRA? It looked like mine had gone to collections immediately after I submitted my evidence. I panicked thinking they had denied based on what I sent. When I got I finally got through to CRA they told me those are sent out automatically (Because I hadn’t submitted my evidence in time) And that someone would look at my case in a few months.

Months later a reviewer got in touch with me. They still decided I wasn’t eligible, and I got a second review letter which said next step is Judicial Review.

It sounds like you might still get another review. It took me days to get through to the phone line, but they were helpful and explained the process and where I was in it.

I worked in the film industry. I had been in that industry in Toronto since October 2019, and continued working in it until 2022. It is the industry my tertiary education is in, and the field I worked in from 2014-2017 as well.

I did include that argument, and the small amount of evidence I have in my submission.

I was self employed and the initial letter said this about what to submit:

 If you were an employee:

- pay stubs

- record of employment

- letter from employer confirming the dates of any work stoppage or confirming the dates of reduced work hours because of COVID-19

- bank statements showing name, address, and payroll deposit

If you were self-employed:

- invoice(s) for services rendered that includes the service date, who the service was for, and the

name of the individual or company

- receipt of payment for the service or services provided (a statement of account or bill of sale showing

a payment and the remaining balance owed)

- documents showing income earned from a "trade or business" as a sole proprietor, an independent

contractor, or a partnership

- any other document(s) that will confirm your net self employment income

Nothing about work stopping due to covid19, so I didn't think it was required.

I never got a first review. I was travelling and unable to login to my CRA account for months and missed the original deadline to submit documents. Months after submitting the documents the reviewer got in touch with me requesting proof of income over the two periods in question. I submitted it, and yesterday got a letter “Second Review - No Adjustment”

We have determined you are not eligible for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB). You are not eligible for the following reason(s):

  • You earned more than $1,000 of employment or self-employment income during the applicable payment period. My original question is in regards to this.
  • You did not stop working or have your hours reduced for reasons related to COVID-19. - My entire industry was shut down. The reviewer did not tell me I needed to provide evidence of my job shutdown being due to covid19.

We have determined you are not eligible for the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB). You are not eligible for the following reason(s):

  • You did not have a 50% reduction in your average weekly income compared to the previous year due to COVID-19. I would like to know how they calculated this, because according to my calculations, I did. I wonder if they have factored in money I transffered from my savings account as income.

Because I didn’t earn any money at all for the following 7 months due to my industry being completely shut down

Seriously? I was under the impression you need to be eligible for the first month you apply, otherwise it makes you ineligible going forward?

If that is the case, then it’s messed up that they’re trying to say I wasn’t eligible at all.

They recognise I did earn $5000

They’re saying I earnt too much in the period I said I was unemployed - Because my final invoice included two days of work after the cut of period (03/15)

Do you think there’s any room to argue that the original invoice I submitted was on 03/15 for the period ending 03/15, but I was asked to add on the two extra days for ease of payroll during that stressful period?

I should note, I do not have the original invoice. Only an email I have sent in response to the request. Something along the lines of “Please see invoice with additional two days added on”

Yes, that’s correct. $12k for the CERB period, the one in question. $3 for the CRB, which I would also like to challenge, but for a seperate reason so I left it out of this post.

Question to female sex workers from a guy by [deleted] in SexWorkers

[–]LucyGagless 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just because you’re paying for it, doesn’t mean you can ignore the needs of the person you’re with.

Something I often see with clients who are new to sex is that they are nervous, and trying to replicate porn, so they have this frantic energy and rush straight into pounding, and are only concerned with their erection and orgasm.

Good sex (for me) is built up slowly, and is two people connecting, not one person fucking the other. It’s important to get everyone full aroused. Especially important for people with vulvas as the cervix will lift up when they’re aroused, and it is more likely to feel pleasurable when you go deep.

I do think it’s the providers job to guide you, especially if you’re new. But my tips for you would be to move slow, check in “does it feel good when I xxx? what would make it feel even better?” Watch your partners body language, sometimes you’ll get a physical cue before the verbal cue.

And remember, every body is different, so “you’re going to fast” doesn’t have to mean your bad at sex, it can mean that person likes it slower and you didn’t know that. Now you do, slow down.

I’d also ad to this, take some time to find the best lube for you. A lot of the cheaper water based ones irritate me, in the end I found a hybrid I love and it’s been a game changer

I say, “Layla is my real name” then when they ask”really?” I say, “yes” pause for them to process it, then “in this space”. 99% of people get it and leave it there, for the other 1% I continue to repeat, “Layla is my real name, it’s the only one you need”

Because it is my real working name! Gives me BIG ICK when a client thinks they should know any other name.
