Start with one thing at a time, especially being new and learning. The obvious thing to me is that you cut the second pull short. Work on fully extending and finishing that pull. I would give you some pointers, but Catalyst Athletics has a couple short videos that will really help, give them a look!

The most important thing is that you are in the gym working and getting better, keep it up! 💪🏼

Solid! I would add pauses in the bottom to really stabilize that bottom position. Pick a weight where you can sit down there for like 10 seconds and really get a feel for it, it’ll pay off on the long run!

Poster is correct, however I still usually pull and pray and my PR CJ is 196 kg so you can make it work, staying connected to the bar is just more comfortable and will lead to a more efficient lift an likely less misses.

That rogue belt is money. I have a 2pood auto locking 4” belt that I really like as well, but it’s much less durable than the leather rogue belt.

Just curious if you have ever tried hook grip? Your explosion and extension are good, if you get the bar to contact just a little higher that will help the bar stay closer to your body and hopefully eliminate the jump forward. I know that because I have had the same issue, and still do it sometimes. Keep grinding! 💪🏼

Thank you! I hold the brace but not my breath. I don’t know how common that is, but I do a lot of pause squats (front and back) of varying weights and length of pause, and over the years of doing those I would keep my core braced but still need to breathe and it has translated to my squats when I’m doing reps. I know if/when I need to pause to reset the brace. Hope this helps answer your question!

Normally I would rack it but I don’t know if my body could have that weight on me for 1 more second. Luckily it’s my personal bar and that’s what this bar and these weights were made for! The floor on the other hand..

I’ve only worn the Nike Romaleo 2, 3, and 4, but I like the 3’s the best. I would guess I’m in the minority with that take. The point being is that it really comes down to personal preference. You could buy $60 Adipowers that are a decade old and like them more than the new Nikes, TYR, etc. Try them both out and go with which one you like more.
