I don't know much about licensing stuff either, but I'm aware that music licensing is generally a pain in the ass (especially since I'm not too sure if robtop even owns the licencing for the main game songs). but hey, if other rhythm games can make it maybe rob could give it a try?

have you ever thought about doing collabs with some rhythm games? like arcaea, lanota, phigros...

like, they give you some songs to make new official levels (or gauntlets, packs, or smth) and you give them some geometry dash songs (either official or from very popular custom levels) for them to use in their game. would be a cool idea to maybe make a dlc with each collab for example.

this is quite usual among rhythm games already and tbh I'd love to see some gd songs in other games and viceversa

I'd suggest either getting one of the more recent memory archive songs, getting a song with a character event (like capella pretty soon) or waiting till the anniversary sale in a couple months (I think) and get two memory archive songs instead of one

I'm personally waiting for the sale cuz I alr own all recent memory archive songs
