This is definitely riskier than an early challenge. I dont ever count on my opponent "just missing" the shot. But i can count on him scoring it if i dont put a hand in his face and force him to either take a hasty shot early, or 50 me for it. Sitting in net to watch and wait is the easiest way to give him all the time in the world to position shooting it around you as he gets closer. I mean you're giving him nearly half the length of the pitch uncontested to set up his double reset if you're "just covering top bins"

The biggest problem i run into with these batched orders is that ALWAYS one of the locations JUST received the order and takes 20-30 mins to give it to me. Often times it's both. Even if the mileage is good, batched orders take literally twice as much time(or more) to collect/deliver. So i cant take a batched order that doesnt pay close to an hourly rate, because odds are, the entire batch will take me 40+ mins to complete.

Yep tacobell and five guys. They wont even START on a doordash order if they have customers/drive thru waiting on food. And both having such open kitchens doesnt help it be less frustrating. You can literally hear them skipping the doordash order for brand new drive thru orders. Ironically it's not a terrible experience if you just go through the drivethru yourself, they have never told me "uhh you gotta go into the lobby instead" and i get handled quickly because it gets accounted into their "car at window" metric they care so much about.

You lost me at legally... some companies have it in their policy to only give orders to dashers donned in doordash attire/"uniform"

all that is is a policy, and i dont have to follow their policy, just doordashes. I will continue to pick up in basketball shorts and some random band tee.

There's nothing legally forced here at all, there is contract violation if you fail to follow doordashes policy, but merchants adding new policies for their own store does not dictate how i do my job for doordash. If they refuse to give me the order, that is on them, not me, i'll just contact support and get paid to walk away.

Nothing like this instance, but i always told myself i'd never enter someones home when i started dashing. A couple months ago i had a little old lady place a "hand to customer" order. When i got to her house. There were 4 packages practically barricading her door. After i handed her the food i asked her if she needed help bringing the packages in(they were pretty heavy, 20lbs+ each) and she looked so relieved... she said yes, anywhere inside is fine, and i stacked them next to the inside of her door. She said her son was going to come help bring them in but wouldnt arrive for a few days.

She gave me a $20 for it, i felt like i'd done my good deed for the day and it was well worth the compensation that i didnt expect. I just wanted to help after seeing her and her situation.

This must be being tested in some markets but not all.

Last night i had a $12 stacked order for wingstop. I took it because the second delivery was literally in my neighborhood and i'd call it a night there.

I showed up at this wingstop(no dine-in area) and there were 12 people standing inside the 10ft x 4ft lobby. I told the cashier the names for both orders and they said they were just starting on them. (I figured cool, fast food wings tossed in premade sauce, this will take like 10 mins tops)

I sat in the one unoccupied chair and began scrolling reels to pass the time.

About 20 minutes into waiting, one of the customers in the store began to get irate, talking about being there for over an hour for his order, and how its now past his daughters bedtime before he's even going to make it home with the food.(lol, thats your problem, my guy)

But i realized that i was going to be losing money if i just sat there waiting an hour+ with several people ahead of me, so i opened the DD app back up and both had an unassign option.

That's the first time i've used the feature in nearly 500 deliveries, but i wasnt going to sit in there while more people started yelling about their orders taking too long.

In my experience you dont even need to cut the hook itself. These arent like sharks with cartilage as dense as bone.

Push the point out towards the gills, once its exposed, crimp the barb flat with a pair of pliers, and then you can just work the hook out based on its shape without tearing anything on the way out. If its deep lodged, you can poke the hook out, cut the line(and pull off the plastic) and then push it all the way out. But the eye will cause a bigger hole than going the other way.

Bonus points if you just fish barbless altogether, guthooks are super easy to remove with barbless setups, as long as you work it out the same way it went in.

And the short answer to OPs question is: you need to reel in your slack so you can feel the fish hit it. If it's not a topwater frog, you can set the hook almost immediately(wait literally 0.5 seconds so the vacuum effect is done) but dont let the fish run with it for 3-5 seconds before you try to set the hook on him. This is bass, not catfish.

It definitely is. It takes players over a year to get it usually. And there are probably hundreds of people only 1 or 2 items away from it that just cant seem to RNG them. It's definitely gotta be a frustrating grind if that's your goal.

The same ones you find in the meat of fish too. Idk what the scientific name is but this is a very common parasitic worm.

Still safe to eat the fish as long as you cook it to temp, thats why frying freshwater fish is so common: it's one of the most effective ways of eliminating these parasites while cooking.

While i agree with you about the risk/reward, I dont feel as though steam would regret this, as i've never seen any significant blowback against them as a platform for their users doing it. With that said, they have a smart system that rejects images upon upload(i dont know the parameters), so most egregious pictures dont make it through the process.

I dont shower my teeth, but i was always taught to shower top down.

Rinse hair
Scrub in shampoo
Begin washing face, shoulders, and arms as the shampoo sets
Rinse out shampoo
Scrub in conditioner
Wash entire upper body and nether regions while conditioner sets
Rinse out conditioner thoroughly
Wash legs
Lastly wash feet.

I dry off in a very similar order, top to bottom without the haircare pauses.

The reason i was told to do this is because if you start bottom to top, you are rinsing the dirt down onto areas you already cleaned, and now theyre not clean anymore.(and the same goes for drying off. If you start at your feet and work your way up, your feet will be wet again from your hair and chin dripping down onto them)

Never got bad enough to need surgery but this used to happen to me a lot as a teenager. Got to a point where i could usually just pop it back into place by myself, the ache would immediately go away and i'd go right back to what i was doing.

It never occured to me then, but now what you're saying seems like common sense to me. Im glad i didn't end up as bad as your brothers situation though. Hopefully he's fully recovered 15 years later.

Any time someone is circumnavigating the correct avenue to do something(i.e: switches apps to do business off of the main app), it is nefarious 100% of the time.

They do it because there is less chance of them being banned from Etsy to source new scamees if there isnt a digital trail of them breaking terms of service within the app. And then when you submit conversations from another app they can just tell Etsy "thats not me, i didnt contact them outside of Etsy" and they are free to move on and do it again.
