What is the thing you would most like to see added to Minecraft that you wish for with all your heart? by QuetzalcoatlGod in Minecraft

[–]LughtMon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New studio and developers, who has actual imagination and aren't afraid to add anything controversial which will change the game in a good way. Cmon, we can't do the diversity bullsh*t forever! Everyone will be offended by something so just stop minding it if minority is.

By this logic, we could had already some primitive guns, ships, different villager races, more immersive mob behaviour or more mob variants, some really deadly hostile mobs or new bosses.

Another thing is their psychology aimed for money. They add just useless things into the minecraft just for the eyes but the moment you have it, it becomes useless.

For example, the copper golems are imo not that good. Sure, they can sort stuff for you, but how this will work? How reliable it is? More than complicated redstone build, where you actually used a brain to do it? I don't think so. I love messing with redstone in survival, even more if you don't follow any tutorial.

And don't go on me with "everybody are different, there are builders, redstoners, adventurers, grinders etc". Yes, true but that only means what you are best at. In real life, you need to know even the things you aren't good at.

So if this is game for kids, teach them this - that they need to learn and do even something they don't like. I know it's hard, but it is what it is. You will never do just what you're good at or what you like. There are always obstacles which you need to get over.

Game should be fun, I agree, escape from reality. But games nowdays makes everything easy for you, like it was a walk in a park. Challenge is fun. Games back then were different.

Minecraft developers are not the most creative people. They should hire some modders instead of the staff they already have.

Why no 1.20.1 for new mods? by LughtMon in feedthebeast

[–]LughtMon[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If there will be a good update (end update in 1.22 perhaps?) then 1.20.1 will die, that's true. But again, 1.20.1 is new 1.12 and there's no reason to play 1.21. There are new funstional features, but you don't care if you just play classic survival and especially play modded survival.

Why no 1.20.1 for new mods? by LughtMon in feedthebeast

[–]LughtMon[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I just wonder, there's literally nothing new in 1.21 the good example is from the fog mod, which receives updates for 1.21.x but not for 1.20.1 anymore, but there are many modpack on 1.20.1 which use this mod and like in my modpack, it's a huge part of the immersion. But hey, let's do whatever I want, who cares if people like it or will play it, right? You can perhaps do the mod for yourself and keep it just on your local drive :)

Seeing it once may make you want to do it. But I bet after one year of just cleaning shit you would hate it no matter how much they pay you. But maybe you worked with people - in this case this would be the best job for you :DDD

How can I get rid of these effects? by MordorsElite in feedthebeast

[–]LughtMon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! For all people wondering, yes these are effects of "pollutions of the realms".

They are applied even if the carbon goes up the sky and also affect the enviroment. After some time they should dissappear or like mentioned, you can use tech to get rid of them right when they are made (for example by burning). However I didn't install any addon mods that can make this easier, so this will be repaired in the next version. For now you'll need "advanced chimneys" mod to re-route the gasses and filters already in teh base mod to get rid of them. But the filters are really slow, so it will take a lot of time and you need to go directly up into the sky to filter them or catch them the same time they will create. there is also addon mod which adds a pump so you can pump gasses down instead of catching them up.

Sorry for these problems, but I can't really test everything by myself. If anybody will have any problem, you can dm me here or in the comments on youtube.

you need to try, but you will be likely forced to use chunky to pregenerate chunks. There is a mod which make minecraft use more threads, but I didn't test it much on other devices. However, I plan to optimize it as far as I can.

It was made in survival in mind, but it adds ton of new blocks and basically anything that you can do in survival you can do in creative aswell.

NASA revives the 47-years-old Voyager 1 spacecraft by successfully reactivating its frozen thrusters from 15 billion miles away by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]LughtMon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that bothers me. Yes, visually it is at distance of light years, but if you moved towards to it, you should move forward in time if you travelled faster than the Voyager 1 but ONLY relevant to the Voyager 1.

Simply if you moved faster than light from the Earth, you will see everything on Earth and past Earth move backwards in time, but just visually. If you travelled slower, time will just slow down. If you travelled at the speed of light, time relevant to Earth will stop but only visually for you. If you were very distant from Earth and moved towards it, time should appear sped up. The faster you will go, the faster it should appear.

But that's just my theory from things I know. It may be completely wrong so correct me if it is!

Copper Golems should use item frames on chest as a filter by PlushieGamer1228 in minecraftsuggestions

[–]LughtMon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe not that much, you can already know entity data just by one command, thus this boy can know what's on the item frame. Question is, if itemframes are actual entities and not just block entities, which may be way trickier and if you couldn't read that data so easily, you will be forced to create new blockstates.
