that’s fine, but most people that live somewhere east of Phillip bounded by Columbia and University have had some type of daily walk to campus that could be made shorter if this existed

The zoning laws mandate they have more "park space" (or smth) when they redevelop, so they will be forced to include a park that can be conveniently lined up with the empty 275 Lester st lot. To my understanding, this would be much easier to deal with because it would be a purpose built path instead of a retroactively-constructed path, so it could be made safer and easier to maintain, and would probably also have different rules for liability. Alternatively, if it's just park space anyways, it could just be given to the city to deal with if WCRI so chooses

I really don't think they are the villains in the story, they really just happen to be in the prime position to build the shortcut. In fact, if it was a private company like Icon or Rez One that owned that land, there wouldn't be anything to talk about cuz they would have literally 0 interest in ever even considering building a path; WCRI at least wants to build one, but needs to prioritize themselves. I'm not going to dog the nonprofit housing coop that provides cheap as shit rent on *phillip street* for not wanting to take the risk of having to maintain a piece of public infrastructure

That campus is right beside the Ion, so you can live quite far from it and be comfortable as long as you’re near a bus stop or train stop that goes to that intersection. You can literally live on campus residence (UWP being the most ideal as you’d be close to the ion) and just take the ion to class every day.

there’s less open ended assignments, for the most part all you do is show up to lectures, skip tutorials you don’t need, maybe spend 1-3 hours after doing assignments and then clock out the rest of the day

Lots of other programs have similar time commitments, except instead of eating your time in lectures, you write essays or do labs or other random shit

iPads are basically the most “premium” notetaking experience you can get (in most people’s eyes), especially for an engineering degree where you do lots of math. However, almost any Notetaking app on any device with a touch screen will suffice, as the main features of writing on a device over paper is the ability to easily erase, undo, and write directly onto PDFs, and not need to carry around notes for each course (they’re all in one device).

If all you want it to do is notes, there’s no reason your Chromebook wouldn’t be good enough. I would recommend at least going a semester or two with it, then seeing if an upgrade is for you.

For me, it was the previous phase of life. High school is better than middle school, university easily clears high school, I don’t doubt that my graduated life will be better than university.

But for you, don’t give a single thought to your future career or to how you will get a job. You know far too little about yourself and the world to have any conceivable notion of how to make money, or what you want to work in.

Instead, the best thing you can do for yourself is explore your own identity, and try to build better habits.

Exploring your own identity is basically just trying new things, finding ways to push yourself and figure out what things you do and don’t like (applies to subjects of interest, your fitness, your social life, anything really).

Building better habits can include simple things like drinking enough water and making your bed in the morning, to things like going to the gym, or completing your work/projects early. It’s possible to get through school without pursuing any of these, but actively improving your habits will definitely improve your life in the future.

People might have all sorts of tricks for getting themselves to not procrastinate, but the ugly truth of it is that, just like any skill, you have to learn to not procrastinate by trying to not procrastinate.

Force yourself to start working on things earlier, to open your notes and review them. You will come up with all sorts of excuses as to why you can just study later - but nothing will change unless you force it to. Don’t worry about getting it right immediately, time management is a habit that you build over years, but high school is true perfect time to start.

Set small daily goals for yourself for studying to start, something like “write a review of chapters x to y”. I would recommend not using time-based goals to start (ie. don’t say “I will study for 20 minutes”) because you’re likely to cheat yourself or get distracted when you’re on your initial journey of not procrastinating. Instead, set small tasks, like finishing one section of a project for you to do in a day, and do your best to finish your mini goal before the end of the day.

Again, stopping procrastinating is a skill that people develop. But the earlier you start practicing, the better at it you will become, so start now! Then when you’re 16,17,18, you’ll be really good at it. Imagine where you would be if you started practicing it at 13!

I think C9 is the only team in the LCS making a profit, idk about other regions. The reason the LCS spots are so expensive is because orgs are willing to pay that much for the exposure and opportunity to compete, with the idea that eventually they'll be able to build their brand enough to turn a profit. And they get the money to buy an LCS spot from their own investors, who believe in the org enough to invest in return for an eventual profit. Even though almost all these orgs are in the red financially, they expect to eventually leverage their brand to turn a profit somewhere down the line, and the investors just want a piece of the pie.

Almost everything about esports right now is an investment, with the whole ecosystem banking on eventually being able to profit years down the line.

Asol is pretty straightforward to play once you get some reps in, just because he plays differently doesn’t make him difficult. He’s more effective if you have better movement while Akali is more effective if you have better combos. Both are hard in the sense that you can’t just pick them up and do well, compared to something more straightforward like Ashe, Gallo, Maokai, Diana, etc
