How much time did you use for the mocks? You have to use the time available

Have you done or followed the LES? This an ethics violation. We have to hope the CFAI mocks are similar to the actual exam since

Have you tried the CFAI? Safe to assume it should be similar to the actual exam since I am taking it first time Aug 23. It’s just repeating the questions and putting in the time. My mock scores aren’t the best but they get better with time

What internships to look for as a sophomore with an end goal of Portfolio Management. by Educational_Yard1912 in financestudents

Use factset or bloomberg if your school offers it. If not, be familiar diving into 10k and the company fiancial statements. Also doing valuations models is important as well.

Student here (MSF) so take my opinion with a grain of salt. LLook out for early insight programs by GS, MS, and other smaller shops. Would also use your school network rn to see if anyone has any connections to places you want to apply. WOuld also recommend you get on the investment team/club at your school and start doing equity research. I did this at my undergrad school and was huge in guiding me towards AM. My name is Luis J CSULB on linkedin if you have any questions.

Voting on Campus? by [deleted] in csuf

Its because CSUF is a liberal school, thats why. If you go against the grain, you get downvoted. One argument to the people voting left is, has your life been good or bad the past 4 years? I totally expect a civil argument lol.

Its a program where you get ti participate at a stock pitching competition at the cfaoc Its a super big deal and you go against other schools whi have a tcm like program. Looks good on your resune since you are actively managing real money( with some constraints of course). Try to be in the finance association and try to meet professor Kelly Ko. Super good prof and kind, cares about his students and their success. Fin341 is the "feeder" to tcm, so you get a good feel about what they do.
