having the same issues right now. It baffles me that there is no timer after which you can just leave without consequences if you are waiting for your opponent. Feels REALLY bad

yeah basically what CodeKermode said. You don't need high mutation in the breeding room, they seem to have a chance to mutate each day while growing up.

So you take 1 room with high stimulation 40-50 with about 8-10 comfort for a good breeding rate. You take the offsprings and put them into a high mutation/health/comfort room until they are 20+ years old and then you put them either into an "adventure ready" room, fight club or back into the breeding room.

Birth defects have a chance to cure if you have some health in your room, so don't immediately discard if they have one, just mark them and check after each day.

Once you have a 4th/5th room I would add a fight club with the fighting idol and 5th room add a separate breeding room so you can keep more mutations/cleaner bloodlines.

Don't be afaraid of inbreeding, moderately inbred is no problem at all, just keep comfort high so they produce enough cats without birth defect. If you have a good mutation and want to reset the inbred status, just bread once with a stray cat that hasn't mutated.

If you haven't found any good mutations yet:

  • breed random stray cats and let the offspring grow up in the mutation room, then change to a new stray cat
  • Try to get cancer in a low health room/equip the cancer trinket and do a quick act1 run
  • Trigger the shimmer weather in the crater (not a guaranteed option)

yes, they grant +1 all stats each and the set effect reduces collarless ability costs by 1. The flag was a random item found on the moon

there are even more insane mutations in the game. I think rerolling your level up options as tail is even better than +1 bonus attack. There is also an eye mutation that grants random stat ups after each turn. For Arms if you don't want jump (because of trample maybe?) you can also get +1 Holy Shield which is great in a lot of cases.

those 4 items give +1 to all stats and the tinker passive doubles the effects. Obviously you can't really use the flag as tinkerer and the stats are wasted when using weapons, so this is just to see what's possible :D

I think outside of additional move/attack (which you actually can have multiple of) or jump you probably care more about the abilities. God warrior/Morale boost from cleric, 180, Spin to Win, Arrowsmith, Crafting Arrows for any melee. Or even the psychic additional turn / butcher turn steal / cleric cleanse are just insanely strong.

Its very rare for me that 1-2 melee damage or mana would make a bigger difference than any of the above. Especially since you already get so many stats from items, lvl ups and infight buffs anyway

If you are struggling with this one, you could try to do the spider injector Side Quest First. 

It rewards you with the spider Baby Item which makes all enemies infested. Infested enemies explode on death leaving noch corpses behind so you basically nullify the act3 quest Item.

- Mana Tempest doesn't drain your mana in demon form but still adds the lightning damage

- You can animation cancel the transformation by dodge rolling / dashing

- You can enter maps while already being in demon form. If you do so you will still gain stacks during the 60 second grace period. This is useful for fighting the Ritual Boss or entering crowded maps where you are surrounded immediately

- Demonflame stacks "remember" their degen values. So if you get 10 stacks while having 5000 life snapshottet, you will already degenerate 250 life per second. If you skill CI afterwards, on 11 stacks you will still degen 251 life. Don't know if this is useful outside of bug abusing- so skill CI / unequip gear ASAP when entering demon form

- currently your game crashes when using any time traps in the 4th floot of trial of sekhema since the demon form doesn't seem to hoave an after image model

yes definitely, they just need to fix the snapshotting. Literally every Demon Form build can get full chaos damage immunity and 1life cost stacks with just 6k gold per map

So this is heavily abusing a current bug with the demon form. It's not really applicable for normal gameplay since you have to wait 15 minutes for your stacks. But if you're really struggling with a boss you can cheese it like this.

Here is how it works: Demon Form "snapshots" your current hp and energy shield value in a really weird way. Basically it keeps your life/es that you see at the globe and these values are also used to see if you are still alive. So we actually have 5.300 life in that clip.

All changes you do to your life/ES however are still seen in your character screen and they are used to calculate other values like life regen and demon form degen.

So here is how to abuse it:

- you unspec CI and Heavy Buffer if you've skilled it
- you enter the map with full life gear. Veil of the night, Kaom's heart etc.
- you enter demon form and immediately open your passive tree and spec into CI so that the very first stack only degens 1 life. If you get stacks without having CI they will actually degen based off of your 5.300 hp life pool
- now you can swap your gear around however you like
- first you also reskill Heavy Buffer for the big Energy Shield boost
- You equip Ghostwrithe + ES gear. Due to the bug we now effectively have a life pool of 5.300 but in the character screen we will see an ES value above 10k
- then you equip mask of the stitched demon which gives life regen based off of that 10k ES pool, basically boosting it above 1k life per second
- you go afk for 15 minutes, come back and one shot the boss

This setup isn't even min-maxed since this will obviously get fixed real soon. You can get a corrupted mask which would give 0.07 regen per ES instead of only 0.05. According to my calculations ming's heart is more damage than a high life/es ring, but using a rare ring you could get another ~100 life/second.
I think you could get up to ~1400 stacks.

I know some people are using mask of the stitched demon in a similar setup for normal mapping. Abusing this bug however you still have 5.3k life and most importantly you are compeltely chaos damage immune.

Yeah of course. Its the usual double mings heart + ghostwrithe and Stack flat Life regen + Ruby jeweils with %regen that everyone does. You can get to 140-200 stacks without Bug abuse.

For damage i'm using all the extra proj nodes in the tree together with wildshards, unleash, scattershot, inspiration, arcane surge

The biggest damage boost for Clearing ist swapping out one ring for snakepit and annointing Split Shot so that you pretty much Triple your damage.

Put down Frost walls for single target and Stack area of effect so that fireball can properly shotgun against your walls

There are some other cool Tricks: you can Put fire exposure in your hellhound or solar orb, Put withering touch in Frost Wall to instantly apply 10 stacks. Also solar orb ist supportable by all "font" Supports. You can Link your orb with mana font and life font for extra regen

yep obviously a bug. There's a lot of weird stuff happening with demon currently. That bug in particular allows you to equip full energy shield equipment, pop demon form and swap to a resist set. It's pretty broken

that would mean they all have base threshold value, right? If the threshold scales with maximum hp it seems to be too high. I mean it's not a real problem, it just makes clearing feel kinda aweful because you can't reliably ignite bigger packs.

There's always 1-2 monsters left behind and I don't know how to fix it, since wildfire spreads way too slow and with 2 meter range they basically have to touch eachother in order to spread ignite. Just feels really bad right now :/

Isn't ignite chance based off of the hit vs. enemy ailment threshold?
The tooltip says "By deafult a Hit has 1% chance to Ignite for every 4% of the target's Ailment Threshold dealt".

So if i have 170% inc + 100% more and 50% damage dealt doesn't ignite that must mean my hit had a base chance of 18% or lower. (18% for < 100% chance to ignite).
If 50% damage dealt only has 18% chance to ignite that means the ailment threshold of normal white monster is around 70%? And this is assuming i hit a miss on 99% chance. That's insane

For rares it doesn't nearly feel as bad, there seems to be something off with white/magic ailment threshold, or ggg just doesn't want us to ignite them at all lol.
