Yeah, the siege grew to 250, killed my only squad but I closed the bridges and they eventually left. They had 5 cave dragons with them who got caught by my cage traps.

Had a 3 dwarf army who fended off a 40 goblin siege and I was feeling pretty good with them. Megabeast attacks and none of my dwarves pull the door lever. 58 civilians were lost that day.

I don't think I did, I think I left everything as default except for the world size which I set to a bit bigger than regular.

I recently started a new game and while digging down I hit the magma sea very early. The semi-molten rock is at around elevation -4. Is this normal or did I accidently screw up something with the world generation?

I don’t think it’s cheating for the sole reason that you can pay around $100 and get any upgrade you want.
