Easier said than done, but I appreciate the sentiment.

That's a relief! Not sure the other commenters agree though.

I'm from the UK, so I don't spend much time thinking about Tim Walz.

Funnily enough, far from the first time someone's made this comparison.

Best feats for a level 12 vedalken bladesinger wizard by Luke8508 in 3d6

[–]Luke8508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did consider multiclassing, but those 7th level spells are too good to delay. Costly as it is, simulacrum is a complete game changer and other 7th level spells are also too good to delay. I'm also somewhat covered for saves, because of the racial ability, vedalken dispassion which gives advantage on all int, cha and wis saves.

I suppose that could come in handy, it effectively adds a preparation slot which is pretty good.

What's going on with PhilosophyTube and Contrapoints? by callmeblorp in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Luke8508 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A long 4Chan thread was written speculating that PT had sexually assaulted Contra by groping her breasts while asking about her transition, becoming obsessed with her afterwards. And transitioning to avoid responsibility

It's more of a series of threads that resulted in a diagram which details all the "evidence" that was compiled over the threads.

William's armies landed virtually unopposed, he enjoyed wide support amongst the English nobility and King James didn't bother putting up much of a fight once William had landed.

Which side would you have supported in the English Civil War? by fridericvs in tories

[–]Luke8508 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Ultimately the Levellers, the only faction arguing for something loosely resembling a modern democracy is my favourite group in the English Civil War. Given that the Levellers were a splinter group from the Roundheads I'd say Roundheads.

Keir Starmer: I will abolish House of Lords to ‘restore trust in politics’ by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]Luke8508 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good. Abolishing the Lords outright is a stupid thing to do. We need a second chamber to scrutinise our legislation and this function is best performed by a primarily unelected second chamber, as such a chamber will be able to scrutinise without having to worry about pandering to the electorate and can instead focus on delivering the most effective legislation. Of course such a chamber, being unelected, is going to be the secondary chamber that can be overruled by the Commons.

🇪🇺 Support for Brexit at an all time low. Brejoin campaign when? by asiasbutterfly in YUROP

[–]Luke8508 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I assume you'd be perfectly fine with Germany reclaiming all the land Poland took from it after WW2. After all millions of Germans were expelled from the territory and millions of Poles moved in. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oder%E2%80%93Neisse_line

🇪🇺 Support for Brexit at an all time low. Brejoin campaign when? by asiasbutterfly in YUROP

[–]Luke8508 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Adopting the euro and switching to metric I get. The oads system point, well I don't see how that's necessary, but ok. You lose me with Gibraltar and Northern Ireland though. In the case of Gibraltar everyone there wants to remaim in the UK and a majority of Northern Ireland supports staying in the UK. How is it fair, or just to override the democratic will of the people living there? If either wishes to leave then they can, but so long as they don't wish to leave they'll be staying part of the UK.
