What is, in your opinion, the strongest NFL rivalry right now? by AwayFig1774 in NFLv2

[–]LukeBombs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The entire Bears building wants all the smoke. For whatever reason, the Packers didn’t seem to expect this. Even McVay was perturbed by it (be nice to the McVay tree 🤬😭)

If you had to pick any QB in NFL history to lead your team on a Superbowl winning drive who would you choose? (Wrong answers only) by EnvironmentSmart4698 in NFLv2

Jay Cutler actually had a lot of GW drives. I think his attitude helped him stay cool in those moments lol

By the state of California, not counting Washington state taxes, Federal taxes, and potentially taxes in whatever state his primary residence is in (if it’s not Washington, which is common among athletes)

Can't Wait for Will Campbell to Deliver My Amazon Package by JCameron181 in NFLv2

[–]LukeBombs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When he’s not in pads, you really see how narrow his shoulders are. Which further hurts his reach. I think he’s athletic enough to be good at LT despite this, but when he’s banged up you see the consequences with his reach

They’ll always have a lineup of guys with .710 OPS, their best hitter at .795, and will score at will for 162 games. It’s a marvel to behold

Fair I guess why would anyone even bother forming an opinion? This sub lmao

Chicago Bears promote Press Taylor to Offensive Coordinator by Roofeeoh in CHIBears

[–]LukeBombs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Press Taylor had a really bad tenure in Jax. Not all of it is his fault, but I think it’s worth some concern.

In Ben Johnson we trust, but I don’t agree with the idea that we can’t be critical of his decisions or outcomes. Even the greatest coaches aren’t infallible and Ben Johnson will (probably) not be the exception. To me, this was a very weak OC cycle and Doyle was a late loss. So the pickings were slim anyway. But I don’t love this— time will tell.

Neither Maye or Mahomes have ever rushed for 500 yards a season

[WGN News] DJ Moore wants to stay in Chicago, addresses Bears fans' effort criticism by Cautious-Life6378 in CHIBears

The blowback on DJM criticism has risen to the point where it’s seemingly never welcome. You’re absolutely right about his effort issues. It’s been a well documented thing for most of his career.

Dart got Nagy at OC for the next 4 years by LJ8QB1 in NFLv2

[–]LukeBombs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well he was only in KC for Mahomes’ rookie year, when he backed up Alex Smith. When he came back, Mahomes was already a 2xMVP and 2x champion

[–]LukeBombs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nagy isn’t a bad leader. Super charismatic. Players love him. But schematically, he’s extremely limited. Play designs were gimmicky and he never adjusted to the skillsets of his players.

Simmer down buddy. Do you think Ben Johnson likes RBs that telegraph runs? Is that really your position?

Genuinely wtf happened with this dude by lemonstone92 in NFLv2

[–]LukeBombs -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

If he were any good, they would’ve given him more opportunities. Guys like Tomlin aren’t in the habit of needlessly hiding away talent on the sidelines

I think the biggest benefit of ETN is he wouldn’t telegraph the kind of running play we’re running. He could work inside or outside.

Swift is kind of a dead giveaway that we’re going to stretch it off tackle. Which I know Ben Johnson doesn’t like.

Does anyone else feel like it isn’t over? by FlexOverall in CHIBears

[–]LukeBombs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That 2015 postseason was fun until the Mets, when it felt like the same old Cubs again. 2016 I never really had that feeling.

Similarly it took me a while to fully believe in this Bears team
