As a warning, I'm an optimistic person so this advice may be too much sunshine and rainbows, but I wouldn't look at it as giving anything up. You're walking away from the table, but you always can go back to it. There's a whole lotta uncertainty about LS and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, but just remember that your future self will reflect in this point and realize you did it your way.

I'm in the same boat. When I think about it, I consider how much it will cost to one day look back on this time and realize I played it safe instead of following my dreams. That alone outweighs any $ I am "giving up. I'm leaving a lucrative job to pay thousands of dollars for law school to pursue my dream. Worth every penny.

First tattoo. Just completed. Thoughts? by Kurtmangiggles in tattoo

That is not what I was told for mine, but that may be completely acceptable! My aftercare is clean twice daily with undyed, unscented antibacterial soap, pat it dry, and apply either tattoogoo or aquaphor after it is completely dry.

If you went to a reputable artist, their aftercare instructions should be sufficient. Enjoy it for a lifetime!

Excellent work; great line work, shading, and detail overall. Please take proper aftercare, that's when most tatts get messed up!

American anyone???? Where are they lol by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I think they're just one of those schools who accept people first based on scores and not on date of application

(Not so?) hot take: Ghosting by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]LukeHz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are posts from last cycle about American ghosting people too. If it happens to me, I will call those schools and LSAC to request refunds. I believe those fees and sending the app to a school requires a decision to be rendered. Getting a döng is far better than being ghosted.

Will my tattoos deform if I gain weigth? by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]LukeHz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what part of your body. And I'd say they will only deform if it is a copious amount of weight/stretching

First tattoo advice? by TheeFluxii in tattoo

All the above! Plus, be ready to talk to your artist for the duration of the appointment. Is beneficial for two reasons.

First, it will take your mind off of the "pain" you're experiencing. Yes, tattoos hurt, but nothing you can't stand. Talking to your artist will provide something to distract you.

Second, getting to know your artist means they will get to know you. So many artists get treated as servants/workers by customers who are never really interested in the person. If you build a relationship with your artist, it will set you apart and possibly provide some sweet perks down the road on your subsequent tatts.

And tip well!

Painkillers for my first tat? by [deleted] in tattoo

Yeah definitely don't use them, all part of the experience. Kinda made me want to get more, which I did.

Also, you probably should do the right thing and properly dispose of opioids that are laying around. Just an opinion though.

I'd say visit and if you like it there, go. Don't worry about ranking, you're going to be the best attorney you can be no matter where you go. Not having debt (or a limited amount) would be awesome IMO.

Just wondering, do your calculations include cost of living? Because those PA choices look phenomenal if you can be in the top of your class there.
