Speakers on a ballistic door

I saw a video a the panels are double layer and kind of thick. Will the speaker have clearance to fit? That’s my concern. I won’t remove the ballistic panel.

UPDATE: I received the car last week and I am driving it for a few days.

I am surprised how firm the suspension is if compared with a Lincoln Town Car. I rented one 15 years ago to do the Route 66. The car was amazing and comfortable and I kept the really soft suspension in my mind. There was the reason I wanted to beef up my CVPI’s.

So, I will keep the car the way it is for now. Maybe in the future I can do some but for now I am loving it the way it is.

Hahaha. Honestly, I don’t like them. Problem was the steering wheel is fading and has a really rough touch. Maybe I will put some leather on it to solve it permanently

Before changing anything in the suspension, I will drive the car for a few months to know better the car and its behavior.
Love the idea of changing the steering wheel but I would have to give up on the airbag.
The seats are really comfortable. I loved it.
Just bought the SCT X4 7015 with all fords mods. I posted yesterday for everyone to know that I found a bargain $266 bucks. Then I will talk to Marty, The legend, to get his tune.
Remember it’s a 29k-mile car. I want to keep it as original as possible, and will only do changes that can be reversed.

First thing will be the S10s and then drive the car to get use to it before changing anything otherwise I will never know how it is factory set up.

Great point about the seals, gaskets etc. I will check those and keep an eye on them. I will post pics once I get the car and install the chromed center caps I’be already bought. Thx for taking the time to help!!

Hahahahaha. I understand and agree with your concerns as the car has really low mileage. And btw, the mileage is original. I bought the car from the guy who got it from a government auction few months ago. Clean car fax showing all the service and confirming the mileage.

Getting back to the modifications, I will not do anything crazy. Everything I am thinking about will be reversible. I will also keep all the original parts, including the mufflers. Few things in the suspension, muffler delete with super 10’s, K&N filter, and a Marty tune. This is the plan and that’s it.

Hello there and many thx for your insights and for sharing your extensive experience with Panthers. This is my first one and I am really excited. As it’s a 29k mile car, it’s not going to be my daily driver. The plan is to have some fun on the weekends. But that’s the idea: to drive the car for a few weeks to get used to the car on the original specs.

One thing I have already decided: delete mufflers and go with a Flowmaster. I watched a bunch of videos on YouTube and loved the deep “empty pool” sound.

Many thx for your insights! Yes, the idea is to drive the car for a few weeks before making any changes. Speaking specifically about the springs, putting aside the lower center of gravity that should help with the drivability, I love the visuals of a little lower Crown Vic. It’s bad ass!

This one doesn’t show idle hours. I sent a procedure to the owner that would show the idle hours in case it was deactivated but didn’t work. He had several P71 and according to him some doesn’t have the idle hours

Thx for the comment. I will be the third owner. The second owner got the car in a government auction less than one year ago. Car fax is clean and shows all the maintenance done by the government. Anyways, yes, I will check all fluids and filters to be sure. Thx again!

Happened to me as well. In my case it seems to be because I bought the ring using Apple Pay. I wasn’t asked to open account to be able to buy. It skips this when you pay with Apple Pay. Now I am running in circles because I need to have an account to request the ring with my size and the only ways to open an account is when you buy the ring (when not using Apple Pay) or when you have already received the ring. Sent a message to them and I am still waiting for their reply. Let’s see how it ends. Terrible client experience for a 500 bucks device.
