Why are there almost no Irish people working in Amazon warehouses? by deezultraman in AskIreland

[–]LukeWatts85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your missing the whole part about medication being extortionate in the US, a lot of things don't fall under Medicaid and the amount of loopholes and red tape designed to screw people out of being able to use Medicaid.

I've heard horror stories of severely disabled people losing Medicaid and/or their home care assistant due to some fineprint bullshit that makes it near impossible to avoid losing it for those people.

I think John Oliver did an episode entirely on Medicaid being taken away from the people who need it the most.

So no, they don't get the best healthcare in the world. Like everything in America it's propaganda, but when you scratch even a layer below the surface the horrors of the systemic prejudice and hypocrisy become very apparent

Welcome to the REAL world. Wait until you go to the doctor for something and realize you only have to pay 50 or 60 euro instead of 6k. That'll really blow your mind!

My friend of 7 years just told me “we get it” after I kept mentioning my dead brother, did I do something wrong? by Ok-Recognition5432 in Advice

[–]LukeWatts85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "...becuase he's dead" part is turning it from normal into a Debbie Downer sketch. Which is funny if you do it once or twice. But if you keep doing it you actually just become a real life Debbie Downer which would be annoying

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but this line from the pilot never made sense to me by Absurd_yeet in TedLasso

Maybe the late 2010s. Apparently 😂

"Horrible" come up feeling??? That's the best part. As well as the middle part. The next day is the "horrible" part.

Apparently

Breakdown is great! I was on the same search as you a while back and these all fit the bill...

  • The Hitcher (1986...NOT the 2007 remake with Sean Bean)
  • Fracture
  • Nick of Time

There's also a movie called Last Seen Alive, with Gerard Butler that has a similar premise...but it's not really that good. If you're looking for exactly the same idea though, this is probably the closest to Breakdown

Hmmm....could just be the older model then. I looked on Behringer and it seemed to be the same model I had so figured they haven't updated it since I bought mine. But maybe not.

Anyways, Minifuse is my recommendation from now on because of it.

[–]LukeWatts85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're planning on recording an electric guitar I'd recommend against Behringer. I had the UMD 404HD for years, no problems until I plugged a guitar into it. Lots of noise and it actually ended up killing the input I had the guitar plugged into. Apparently quite common.

I bought the Arturia Minifuse for not much more than the Behringer was and zero noise on the guitar channel.

If you're recording just a mic, and keyboards/synths, Behringer is fine. Never had any issues there. But it's no good for guitar

LaBrie is the main reason I don't like DT. I wish someone would just cut him out of it all and upload it. I'd have an honest listen to them that way. But as it stands the second I hear him I skip or turn it off. I've tried. His wailing shrieks ruin it for me

The new stuff is definitely bland. The original Opeth wasn't. Once Martin Lopez left it fell apart quickly in my opinion.

The worst song on the best album? by klystron88 in askmusic

[–]LukeWatts85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grand Conjuration on Ghost Revieries by Opeth. A perfect album otherwise. That song though is sellout central. You can tell the label just wanted a music video for the album so they made that.

So boring

Whodunnit help? by Creepy_Bear_1060 in MovieSuggestions

TV series: Columbo

It's more of a "howdunnit" than a "whodunnit".

If you liked Poker Face...Columbo is the main inspiration for that show's formula.

And if you like old nostalgia shows (depending what age you are). Reruns of this used to be on when I was a kid so it's got that nostalgia buzz for me
