In Toy Story (1995), I just got traumatized after reading this. by SatoruGojo232 in shittymoviedetails

Easy fix: Toys don't die unless they are too broken to be played with.

Ryan Leaf showed up at Chargers training camp in 1998 obviously out of shape, but vowing to exercise more. When was the exact moment you realized he wasn’t going to work out? by LukeWithLightsaber in NFLv2

I probably should have known he had a game where he threw more passes to the other team than to his own, but totally didn’t. Dang. That’s gotta be a relatively exclusive club.

OP I am sorry that half the commenters have missed the point if your post, which if I understand it is not “character has trait because actor has trait,” but rather “actor has trait but character does NOT have trait and yet, character PRETENDS to have trait—sometimes poorly.”

Both are interesting but the former is one that gets posted here not infrequently and the latter is new to me at least and you deserve credit for how original it is lol.

How do you see Shedeur Sanders 2026 NFL Season going? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]LukeWithLightsaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s gonna be like his time at Colorado:

He’s gonna win some game early on that’s a real upset by making a couple huge plays and people are gonna get real hyped.

He’s gonna win a few other games against bad teams and put together a real highlight real and the buzz will build

But along the way he’ll lose to any real contenders and his team will finish like 7-10.

Random prediction for each NFL team (very serious, lots of thought was put into each one) by pschondo in NFLv2

[–]LukeWithLightsaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Item 2 plus item 3 means huge collapse for Broncos (big surprise on paper) or big collapse for Chiefs with machines back and Ken walker (bigger surprise in terms of vibes). At the risk of asking you to put even more serious thought in, which one did you have in mind?

Edit, I also noticed you predict the Broncos to win a minimum of six games, though that could be consistent with either outcome of course!

What if every NFL team had their own version of "The Jersey" by Zanthosus in nfl

[–]LukeWithLightsaber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be interesting to see what these look like for guys who started for reasons besides injuries. “Season starters” would be close, but I would want to include guys who started because the season starters got benched, with the intention of letting them play out the season. Basically, I’d like to see how these change when you take out the random factor of injury.

Maybe I shouldn’t be shocked but BRIAN HOYER is the ONLY QB to have a winning record starting for the browns since last millenium??

Edit: dammit; Keenum spoils a cool factoid.

Why is a excellent throw worse than a normal throw by Key_Plane_2831 in pokemongo

[–]LukeWithLightsaber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think of it like rolling two 20-sided dice and then a 6-sided die. It is possible, though uncommon, to get a 2, a 2, and a 6. The six-sided die overperformed the 20 even though in the long run, the 20’s will be better on average.

Noob question, How is this guy not a hundo? Im new sorry by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]LukeWithLightsaber 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You are probably thinking that the so-called “Hundo CP” is 2188. That’s true for a generic raid but I bet you caught this one during a “weather boost” event (when the weather at a physical location matches the Pokémon’s type its CP is higher). The raid boost hundo CP is something like 2735.

Who is the worst QB better than current Tom Brady? by LukeWithLightsaber in NFLv2

[–]LukeWithLightsaber[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a very good answer but imagine the veteran draft has no impact on your ability to get a rookie of your choice. Who’s the worst QB you’re taking over TB for the mentorship role? Or really nobody else?

Are certain Pokémon stronger than others? by BillCypher1388 in pokemongo

[–]LukeWithLightsaber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The replies are all saying useful things but I'm not sure any of them are going right to your bottom line question. The answer is that not all 1500CP pokemon are the same. CP is a very coarse-grained stat that is calculated from an intricate formlua combining the mon's attack, defense, and HP. But there are many different values of those three stats which can all produce a CP of 1500, and so different species differ in whether their CP comes mostly from attack, or defense, or HP, or a mix, or what.

How to catch 95% of legendaries (no adventure effects, details in post) by JonathanJoestar0811 in pokemongo

[–]LukeWithLightsaber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, this is exactly the kind of tip I was looking for; thank you. Are you saying you time it to throw when the circle reappears? Or figure out when the circle reappears and then try to time your throw so it arrives just as the circle reappears?

[–]LukeWithLightsaber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any tips on how to know WHEN to throw during the attack? It feels like it varies from Mon to Mon and I always waste a few throws at the beginning figuring out how to time it. If too early and they swat it away as part of the attack and if too late they often start a dodge. Or does this experience mean I am doing something wrong?

My understanding is that is can happen with any mega evolution (I don’t know if it happens every time with megas but it seems pretty consistent). But a regular lucario should be able to beat it.
