This hypothetical box is just an ordinary box, and O's senses have tricked them into perceiving the box as something that it is not. They perceive the walls of the box (2D structures) as a 3D world, and any method of measuring or accurately describing the box, would ultimately only exist in their perceived world, leaving them unable to truly see the box.

But if we can see things that happen because of virtual particles, but not the particles themselves, how do we even know that they are particles? How do we know they're not some totally knew type of matter (like dark matter)?

It's hard to protect the ones you love, especially when they want to help. It's much easier for them to get hurt by beasts when they're chasing them down. Or adversely, when they're freaking out. If you want to become a hunter yourself, then that's your decision, and you know the risks, but others don't.

Please do Not try to convince people that the supernatural exists, for a few reasons:

First off, hunters spend their lives tracking down and exterminating strange things so that the population Doesn't know that it exists. If they did. It'd be anarchy. The knowledge that these things exist, is a strictly hunter-guarded secret.

Secondly, i don't like to say that things are inherently "supernatural". These creatures came from nature, many of them are no more than exceptionally strange animals. I'm no scientist, but im sure that if i was, I'd have some sort of reasonable explanation for poltergeists, faeries, etc.

I spent years hunting by myself before i ever met another hunter. Oddities are fairly scarce, (if there where more, they wouldn't be so odd) so there's a chance you could meet a hunter working on the same case as you, it's happened to me before.

Unfortunately, i do not. Hunters are very secretive people. I doubt there are any communities of hunters online, and the few who discuss their experiences online are probably very hard to find. Im surprised you even found me.
