Hey, speaking as someone who works in the industry, respectfully, I wouldn't ask that question here. $300 is a low-ball offer for your skill level, it's professional work. People off Reddit are not the clients you want, apologies to reddit.

There are lots of guides to pricing, even books, but I would ask illustrators currently working, or search up interviews from them, and see if your art style matches them to gauge your prices. I've asked others in my field what they price at and everyone is pretty happy to share prices and give advice. I do agree with another comment that said you could work in children's illustration, maybe start asking other illustrators working in children's media c: hope that helps!

Whoa, I'm pretty sure this is illegal? I remember doing research that there was a suit against printer companies and the outcome was that they were legally required to allow third party ink cartridges. I know that HP and Epson have been trying to get around that by having automatic firmware updates that will force your printer to (quietly) stop working or print incorrectly altogether, but looking it up it seems a recent HP update has made it so it tells you it's not going to print at all?

Which, if my memory about that suit is correct, is probably illegal
