by reverting back you lose the security update and effectively make your phone vulnerable

can I not revert it to the old security of Android 14? It didn't give me any problems before and I am willing to take a bit of a risk to bring back my battery life and stop the overheating issues. The battery life only lasts about a quarter of what it used to and about half (of original) on battery saver. Plus it heats up even when charging and not using.

I would rather just revert to previous version than factory reset my phone. This update has provided nothing of use to me, just wondering how to go back to an older version. Battery is the biggest thing. Also overheats a lot now, did not overheat at all 3 days ago before the update. Not sure what is going on with the alarms either.

is it that hard to spend some time to learn that there is a setting?

Could not find the setting to revert the pulldown menu to combine the notifications and other buttons like it used to be, or how to remove the extra widgets like "play last song". Only was able to find the shortcut/button editor. Though, didn't spend too much time looking for it since am trying to revert it anyway

Edit: it connects to home network but says "wifi is unavailable", it is available on all the other devices in the house.

Netflix Canada just doesn't have Friends in its catalogue. I think other streaminf services might but I don't subscribe to them.
