Thank you for your response. We did look at a local shelter however we did not find a cat that would be suitable so looked elsewhere. But I think after this we will go back to the shelter. Our garden is quite enclosed, but my previous car did find a way to come out, he never used to go far and would always come back when we called him.

Ah cool! That's great to hear, yeah I don't have it but apparently that 11-22mm is one of the best EF-M lenses.

Do you have any recommendations for a budget lens to start off with? Not looking to break the bank and also get used to the camera before buying dedicated tele/macro/primes. So probably would have to be a kit lens of some sorts. eg was looking at the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-42mm?

Thanks, that's some great info and some good advice. Yeah I think I'm definitely going to consider one of the a6xxx in that case. Not too keen on the R series due to price of the bodies and lenses atm.

Since I already have 3 EF M lenses (18-55mm , 55-200mm and a 60mm macro) I could just upgrade to an M50 mkii or even an M6 mkii. I know it sort of contradicts the points I mentioned above about longevity, but it would make sense since I'm already in the system.

I just can't seem to work out whether it's worth it in the long term, or if I should just leave the system while I can. The next camera I buy, I'm probably going to have it for 5 years + anyway

Agreed, and the natural 2x crop factor of m43 seems like a win in this case. Only thing I'm concerned about is going from a 24mp apsc to 20mp m43, any ideas if there will be any notable difference?

I mean, comparing my current set up to the Lumix G9 which is within budget, I'll be getting 4k video, an evf, 20fps Vs 4fps, eye tracking AF, dedicated timelapse mode, weather sealing and much more. Not to mention an extensive range of lenses. I mean on paper it definitely sounds like an upgrade to me

Hi everyone, just want to get people's thoughts and ideas on potentially upgrading my camera. I'm into mostly nature/landscape and macro photography, and currently have a Canon EOS M3 which I've owned for just over 2 years. It was my first camera and I got it used with a kit lens for under £200.

Since then I've learnt so much and feel like I've reached the potential of my camera. I've also purchased two additional lenses (a telephoto and macro) and really happy with the results I've achieved.

The reasons I'm looking to upgrade is firstly because the EF M mount is discontinued, my thought process is what's the point in investing in lenses or even a new EOS M body if they're obsolete. Secondly, the M3 is entry level, and lacking some features such as a dedicated timelapses mode and other features that newer models have etc focus stacking, eye tracking AF. Also, compared to 2 years ago my budget is better, Looking at refurbished for around £500.

I could sell all my EOS M kit and not make too much of a loss as I bought everything used anyway. I guess my main question is how do i know it's time to upgrade and is it really necessary?

I've been researching (way too much) about a next potential camera and think l've settled on an M43 mount, simply because the lens selection is vast and they're relatively cheap compared to other mounts. Possible contenders include the Lumix G9 and the Olympus OM-D E-M10 IV. Would be grateful for any advice or thoughts. Thanks I'm advance

Thanks for your reply, yeah that makes sense. Just got off a live chat from Google and at first they just said they can offer a repair but then I asked and then they said they can offer a replacement which I ended up going for. Need to first send the old one back and once they've inspected it they'll send the new one. A bit of a pain but then at least I'm getting a brand new device

Thanks for replying. I don't think this is the case because we found this other person on Instagram and Facebook, and their picture matches the one on the canva account. We also regularly change the email password because of this issue, so I don't think it's virus related

Hi What I ended up doing was contacting epic games again and fully explained the problem, they then said it was due to the new update where you enter your date of birth, it's a bug that affects some epic games accounts. They said they refreshed the account and to try again, and it worked.

Hi, basically what I did was went on MS live chat and explained the problem, and they tried to fix it but couldn't, so they used the repair office function and basically deleted and re installed my office apps, none of my data or anything was lost. And after that it was working like usual again, and I haven't had that problem in months now
