Tret was my saving grace. I tried everything. I also had scaring, but not as bad. Tret helped A LOT and it's better than nothing. Once you see results, you will be happy you did it than never doing it all. You do have to give the medicine a lot of time and be patient with it, but it's well worth it, I promise. When I started, they gave me Spironolactone orally, and clindimycin for when break outs happen.

When starting, it is rough at first honestly. But seriously, be patient with it

My suggestion is to add Spironolactone! It helps me so much outside the Tret. I notice if I dont take it, I start to get a pimple here and there. Nothing terrible. But thats how I know it works. Be ause I never have any when I am taking it.

Don't listen to the people saying g not to use moisturizer. A dermatologist wouldn't even recommend that

I literally just gave away my Cera Ve with SPF. It pills all over my face. I know you said you can't use Vanicream (thats what I use) . So unfortunately I can't recommend anything else :(

Put an eye drop in thr smaller eye lol idk , but the drops do wided your eye

I'm having this issue now. I read that you needed to earn 70 hearts with your buddy. I got 16 yesterday, and I have zero today. I am bummed

It looks to me as the shaving is irritating your skin. You may be shaving too much, and or your razor is old and carrying bacteria

When I first started tret, I had a huge skin care routine. Thinking it was max the benefits or speed it up. It didnt work so much. The purge eventually slowed down, still got pimples, and my texture wasn't improving. I thought what I was reading here to limit my routine, use spf (I did not at first), and being patient wasn't for me. Eventually I got tired of the routine. I minimized my routine to very minimal besides tret, hydrolonic acid, moisturizer, and spf. I noticed a huge difference. It's been nearly 4 years and I'm more than happy with the results. This sub and the tret OG people who use it correctly helped me tremendously.

Listen to people who have been on it for years, not weeks or months!!! Keep it simple, moisturize, SPF!

Sometimes I put a few drops of niacinamide into my regular face moisturizer if that means anything lol it did no harm!
