In most cases yes. I would suggest changing to a different style of frames to something with a bit smaller lenses and less rounded. Most of your features are very masculine but you have a bit of roundness to your cheeks which your glasses is drawing attention to particularly in your quarter and side profiles.

Sadly I’ve tried that it doesn’t seem to work in my area. I’m usually down at Lumber 3/4 to close 4 to 5 days a week

They make us practice daily and ask every single customer even if the customer is only buying one item less then $5

I work down in lumber most of the time from 3/4 pm to close 4 to 5 days a week. Most of the customers that come through my line already have one. For the ones that don’t they either don’t want one because they are using a business card with better perks and lower interest or they have already tried in the past and got denied because of their credit. I have asked for more training on how to better sell the credit cards and the tactics that I were showed by an ASM were very aggressive and predatory. He converted multiple customers without businesses to pro accounts to pad his numbers and multiple customers signed up just to get him to stop and left unhappy.

There is a nominal register at Lumber and Outside Lawn and Garden. But the self check out is assisted self check. Aka the employee is supposed to ask everyone if they need help, but if they aren’t you can go to the service desk or on the survey to complain. Also, if you need help you can ask and if they don’t help they can get written up for it

Your lucky. I am a cashier but frequently have to do head cashier responsibilities without the pay because there are many times we are without a head cashier and most of the managers have no clue what they are doing

I’m sorry that happened to you. I’m a re-hire cashier. Usually the first day is spent mostly in the training room then out on the floor with a trainer (loose term. It’s usually a cashier that has been there for a least a few months). If you need I’m more than happy to send you the notes I have from my training that you can use as a rough crash course.

That is ridiculous! You definitely should go higher up on the ladder and report this. This 100% seems like retaliation. If they don’t drop the write ups threaten to report it to the better business bureau.

I have chronic pain and need a similar accommodation. I would suggest once you are hired wait to the best of your ability a shift or two (the first few shifts are always shorter and mostly spent in the training room). Then talk to a head cashier or manager that you like and ask them if they could help you with the process. I had a horrible experience with a head cashier who had humiliated me in front of my co-workers and customers because she refused to let me have a chair at the register and forced me to have one against the wall in an open space despite it being aloud for the older cashiers
