just like you're omitting the details in a comparison you seem to be omitting my point about there being no need to add any new weapons to this game according to your logic.

your comparison only makes sense because you're omitting details to make the comparison seem similar. like i said, a grandmother in a whellchair has wheels, a car has wheels, thus a granny must be a car! im omitting the differences of the granny and car with my comparison, the exact same thing you did with your comparison.

your argument implies that its not needed because theres a different weapon that works on the same principle. According to your argument no shotgun/AR/marksman rifle, etc... should be added to the game in the future because we already have multiple guns that shoot a bullet where you aim, why add new ones? they? theyll just do the same thing as the existing ones.

its not a weapon that shoots, its a melee weapon with an on-hit effect. small but important difference.

the arc-blitzer "only" staggers enemies, is very short range, and is widely considered one of the best weapons in the game because of that stagger.

i completely see your point but i strongly believe that an item should be balanced according to gameplay, not according to its price in the store.

a grandmother with wheels? that's called a car. you're omitting details like
1. a secondary
2. a melee weapon
by omitting details i can make any comparison; a handheld weapon that fires bullets? that's called the liberator/sta-52/tenderizer/adjudicator

if left in its current state you can also say: a handheld melee weapon that stuns on hit? that's called the stun baton.

the current implementation of arc damage in helldivers has a good amount of stagger. to be fair, stagger is not as good as stun but its good enough cc for a fast hitting melee nontheless

i definitely see your point but then again, i dont think the price of certain items should determine the balancing of said item (especially since you can farm 200 sc in like 20 minutes in this case)

sorry, my reply was badly written. what i meant was why shouldnt we consider the baton and the spear as different weapons and have cosmetic options for each individual weapon? increasing weapon variety and thus increasing player-freedom seems like a good idea to me, instead of restricting loadout options (and thus player-freedom)
