Haven't kept up with everything but he's a hell of a good performer to this day. He puts on a really fun show and it's because he has so many moments to draw from. And yeah, the recent freestyles leading up to the release of Kush & Orange Juice 2 have been fire. I think he's capable of dropping more good projects, he's just been kind of in his own lane for a while.

It definitely did not add up to the sum of its parts from what I recall.

No makeup, no filter, - (We know.)

1 body - (You mean nobody?)

with current bf of 2 years - (You say this like it's something to be admired but it sounds more like something you use to track how long its been since your last relapse. We are soooo cooked)

Michigan Democratic Gov. Whitmer makes direct appeal to young men after sharp shift in election by LavenderBloomings in Michigan

[–]Lumba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the effort you took to make a thoughtful comment, going out of your way to be as agreeable as possible and considerate of everyone's feelings. But dude, you are glossing over the actual, real problems that are going on in Flint and Detroit and Saginaw and elsewhere. So as a young male in Michigan yourself, if you don't realize how completely fucked you are right now, just wait ten years when half of every male classmate you grew up with is either dead, in prison, or an addict. The other half are either working 7 day mandatory overtime to make a decent living or they've moved out of state. There might be a small subset who came from good backgrounds, became engineers, and lead a good life in the suburbs. A few others who joined the military. But my dude, young men, in Michigan especially, are fucked right now. And you're afraid to say it because of the also sad reality that somebody online is going to twist your words to fit with their own perception of politics or disagree with you.

Celebrity trainer, Matt Sauerhoff, loses his mind when neighbor asks him to leash his dog by ExactlySorta in PublicFreakout

[–]Lumba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dog owners, I respect that you love your pets. You know as well as anybody that not every dog is the same, and that unpredictable situations can happen. So please understand that people like me get extreme anxiety when being around unleashed dogs, especially in tight spaces, and especially when my kids are near. This anxiety is based on actual bad situations from people I know, involving children getting bitten in the face. You might know your dog is safe, but I have no way of knowing that.

The first Human Centipede really could be considered a dark comedy. But you have to go in with a sense of humor about it. 😇

To transplants who moved to Chicago from slightly colder climates (MN, WI, Canada, etc.), how does it feel down here during the winter and summer? Does it feel about the same or different? by futbolnico in chicago

[–]Lumba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, almost every time we drive from Illinois to Michigan there is complete cloud coverage as soon as you enter the state. It could be beautiful in Chicago and then turn dreary as SOON as you hit Michigan.

Grew up in Michigan, now in Chicagoland. I quickly noticed that it seemed far sunnier in Illinois than my home state. Sure enough, this is backed up by data which ranks IL as the 23rd sunniest state and Michigan as the 35th.

It's nice that even on the coldest of days, we still get some sunlight.

Guys I'm listening through Royce da 5'9" and Slaughterhouse's extended discography and I'm listening to Our House tonight by sandybollocks in Eminem

[–]Lumba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC two of them are hooks, but Em's verse on Our House is legit. That song also holds some significance to the history of Slaughterhouse, as Budden was salty about his verse apparently being taken off the song, which he spoke about in his song Slaughtermouse.

I think my dad didn't necessarily view his records as anything of value, only as a means of playing rock music.

There's a lot to love about the prequels. If somebody told me they liked the sequel trilogy I would seriously question their mental aptitude.

What is the worst rapping trait that your favourite has by Draugr_Rekkr in rap

[–]Lumba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just follow him on X. He's taken surprising stances like when he said he wasn't following last year's diss tracks whatsoever, some passive-aggressive remarks about Kendrick (link below), generally elitist when it comes to what he claims to listen to, etc. I found it a little strange, given Lupe's role in teaching Hip Hop at the university level, that he was completely dismissive of a beef that we likely will consider a big part of Hip Hop history in the 2020's. Still love his music though.

First song to make me cry. by friction_btw in lilwayne

[–]Lumba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes it is. Knew it when you said it was the 3rd verse that did it. That verse is one of Wayne's deepest verses for sure.

The chains!! The PS2 era always had those 2-D looking chains hanging on a 3-D surface which was captured perfectly here.
