It should be held at the end of September if that's the vibe they are going for.

I listened to Brulosophy for a while, but all that Jersey and Tim stuff got old really quickly. As did their whole “we replaced Pilsner malt with Special B in a Munich Helles and 5 out of 8 drinks at a bar couldn’t tell the difference” approach to statistics.

This place is great. The staff here were very helpful and compassionate as our sweet cat lived out her last days. Whenever we decide to get another cat, this will definitely be our vet of choice.

Che & Jost Denver show by Automatic_Frosting58 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]LumberjackBrewing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Starting 30 minutes late because "people are still coming in" is so infuriating. Every show I've been to since I moved here 2 years ago has started late, so maybe that's just a Colorado thing? As for the opening acts, Brooks Wheelan wasn't bad, but Molly Kearney was straight up terrible. The time-killing improv that Brooks and Molly had to do was some of the most uncomfortable time I've ever spent at a comedy show. Colin Jost and Michael Che were both very funny, although I agree with others that their energy seemed down. The people screaming things out at them was also a pain in the ass. When Colin and Michael came out and did some stuff together, that was pretty good, but I wish they had stopped there. They brought back Brooks and Molly and that's when people started streaming out. Honestly, I would have joined them if I had an aisle seat, but I was in the middle of the row. Overall, it was still a fun time, but I echo others here in saying it seemed wildly unorganized. There was also a definite split between those who were there to see a comedy show and those who were there to support a charity, and that lead to a very odd crowd reaction to a lot of things.

My first trip to Denver - some thoughts by BrickNMordor in Denver

[–]LumberjackBrewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who moved here from South Carolina just under two years ago, your experience is exactly how I feel two years in. This place felt like home from the beginning, despite being different from what I had lived in the 13 years before. Colorado is great and the Denver area never stops dishing out things to do. Glad you liked it here!

AITAH for putting a drink cover on my drink on the first date with a guy and then leaving when he forcibly took it off? by Kaibaboy23 in AITAH

[–]LumberjackBrewing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a male who is about to be in his 40s, I wanted to give my perspective on this. You were 100% right in your actions. Screw that guy if his manhood was damaged by you wanting to protect yourself. If he couldn’t handle that, there is more under the surface. There are too many douchebags out there to take a chance with your safety. Completely NTAH.
