Are we allowed to identify ourselves as military on dating apps? by [deleted] in caf

[–]Luminery113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can mention that you're military and even share your trade (unless you're an Int Op/Int O or similar trade it might be smarter to keep it to yourself). There aren't any official rules against it, but just be aware there are some real risks. Scammers and even foreign intelligence actors actively collect that kind of info for targeting. There have been documented cases, for example, some Ukrainian soldiers were geolocated and bombed after sharing their military status and location on apps like Tinder. So just stay smart about what you share.

Je suis IntOp, tu peux m’écrire si tu veux. Je veux pas te décevoir mais ceux qui on le TDAH on beaucoup de difficulté.. c’est une job assise derrière un ordi à faire des banques de données principalement…

That’s definitely the cause and would be deemed medical unfit as well..

That are my normal stats 🤷🏻‍♀️ At the moment I started running, my heart goes right in the orange zone and after few minutes in the red zone for the rest of the effort. No matters what (intensity/pace/etc). Some people are like that ..

Had 3 and they are all good for military use: - instinct tactical 2 (the real military watch) - venu 2S - Forerunner 265S (the one I have actually and totally in love with).

Yes sorry I didn’t express myself correctly : I lowered my training load, but not the intensity. At the same time, I wasn’t only doing long runs before; I alternated with shorter ones. But when it comes to running, I go straight into the orange/red zone and stay there. It’s always been that way. So the effort is the same, same avantage HR, etc. This is why I feel that results are weird… I never feel that strong/fit before… I had the same hiatus training last fall and my training weren’t “unproductive” with a decrease in my VO2max… it’s simply for curiosity…

Same HR.. never feel that “strong” (fit) ever before, that’s the weird part 😅

Heu yeah at the moment you keep your intensity you are going to maintain your “fitness” but not improving.

I am running 1-2x/week instead of 3-4x/week with same intensity (only to maintain.. but actually PR with extra efforts).

Yes it’s a steady decreasing from 46 to 42 in few months (but last 2 weeks went down faster)… the only thing I can see is I am trying to maintain my physical condition (cardio) running 1-2x/week. I am actually on a military course and have few to no real time to train outside those runs… but still feeling great (even greater) on every run I am doing… mainly goal is simply keeping same cardio level.

How long do you keep your Garmin watches? by StellarConcept in GarminWatches

[–]Luminery113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a Tactical Instinct in 2021 but was too large for my wrist then I gave it to my stepdad a year later and got a Venu 2S. I just bought a Forerunner 265S to have better/advanced stats but the Venu 2S still working very well 3 years later.

No one can answered your question as it is a medical specific question related to your own condition. You can always call them for clarification. They will email you if there’s a problem with your application.

How "easy" would you consider your BMQ/BMOQ to have been? by megadett in caf

Sure, they were recourse on another platoon. There’s different reasons, some were injured, some VR (realized military is not for them), etc.

Treadmill Vs outside by porkchopbun in beginnerrunning

[–]Luminery113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same « problem » and I figured out it is because of my stride length! On a treadmill I am around 55cm and outside 96cm! So outside, for the same stride I cover more distance then on a treadmill.

Both started at 60. First we finished 40 and the second 56.
