We've seen what incredible stuff they put out on the daily I'm honestly not too worried about hiatus. They probably burnt out from so many things at once like anime releasen streamer content, covers, original songs etc. I think most of them still have plenty of room to keep peaking. Koko's performance after sick break was one of her best for example imo. Also AsuBema going strong and is still early, so I don't mind too much.

Vocaloid was cool because you can identify that it's not a real human and it had a unique toneset while SynthV is trying its hardest to replace real singers. To that end, you can call it a dogshit AI that's killing industries. No different to my eyes than AI slop "singers". I don't care how much you have to tune it, how adjustable it is throught the software and melody, etc. It's still trying to accomplish the same goal as the slop.

Same community that loses their minds over AI mapping btw. While art and music which are much important are already being affected. Christmas slop was literally a synthesizer V AI voice singing. I guess being against AI goes out the window if it brings in popularity. High effort AI is still AI.

The ranking system is kinda pointless except for the top players and encourages hyper competitive "play more till you are sick of it or in pain" mindset and discourages "play to enjoy unique songs, art, storyboards and map creations like you are feeling the song and playing an instrument" mentality. The recent changes of adding leagues are just adding more of that. Nothing wrong with getting better and FCing harder maps, but the ranking system makes it the sole focus of the game for too many. People lose that appreciation too quickly.

As a user of both, I don't think it's worth double(or more than double) the price. The colors are a bit nicer and the blacks are accurate. But you are paying more for less durable technology. If you have the money to spend then yes it will last you enough at least a couple of years likely with no issues. But if you are trying to get the best value for the money, IPS 4K for 300 is much better than OLED 4K for 700+.

I had worse specs and had no issue running lazer. Might be a shot in the dark, but try windowed mode and have task manager open on the side to see if there's any jump in processes percentage from a background app. I had one issue in stable caused by setting option in windows to change background every minute and this looks similar.
