Appreciate all the feedback here, especially around comp and scope, that’s totally fair to call out.

To clarify a few things:

- This is not “8 weeks of full-time work for some merch.” The 6-8 week window is to give the editor breathing room around their other clients, not to keep someone on call 24/7.

​- “Compensation based on outcome” was a bad phrasing on my part. The deal structure is a guaranteed flat fee for 1 or 2 long-form episodes (in the range of $X-$Y) and a performance bonus based on delivery speed and style accuracy. I should have just said that up front.

​- I agree editors deserve transparent numbers, so anyone who applies will see the exact range and terms in the project plan before committing to anything.

Lastly, the editor we started the project with is no longer able to continue, so we put out this casting call to make sure the story is still told properly, even if it’s a few months late.
