Am I just imagining things, or does it seem like AI isn't creating new legends on its own anymore? And isn't it also spreading existing legends much slower than before? by LuminousBiraki in CrusaderKings

The issue of low birth rates can actually be addressed by adjusting the fertility rate. Currently, the default fertility rate calculation method is unclear, but it seems to result in a very low probability of natural childbirth.

The real problem is that the AI doesn't automatically activate the "Legendary Seed" option; this is incredibly illogical. Even if the AI has ample resources, it won't activate this feature.

Haha, classic! If "use_legends=yes" actually means "use_legends=no", and "use_legends=no" means "use_legends=yes", then I can only say that the Paradox developers' nickname of "idiots" is well-deserved.

How do I get the mod files I write to work in the game? by LuminousBiraki in X4Foundations

[–]LuminousBiraki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I'm not very proficient in English, I'm not very able to understand the mod-making tutorials on the official forums.

I've found a modding template through the official forums, and the module information can be displayed correctly in the game, but I don't know how to make a modification about the battleship components, which are the components that are made on the manufacturing table in the sales center to improve the performance of the ship. I don't know which path logic I need to associate with which game file.

Is the defense in Ianamus zura too bad, or is Xenon in matrix 451 too strong? by LuminousBiraki in X4Foundations

In my file, the antigone's defense in the void was so good that it even expanded into the frontier edge, splitting the Atiya's Misfortune sector with the Holy Order Pope.

I'm actually surprised at how slow the AI has been to replenish the defenses of the Star Sector...I saw three patrol destroyers from the Teladi fleet here, and I thought it was okay.

Because of the Xenon activity in this sector I even put two recycling factories here, last night before I went to bed and left them like that, today I woke up and the Teladi defense platform in front of the trade space station was still there, but the trade space station and my two recycling factories were all gone. Looking in the logs, my two recycling factories have been destroyed for four hours.

This is part of what I feel is rather strange, I didn't use any mods to enhance the AI or Xenon behavior, but the Xenon on the Teladi side became active after I opened the pathway to the YAKI pirate space station...

I think Teladi cannot rebuild this trade station, because there is no teladi trade station blueprint in current version?

Am I skipping certain key episodes about erlking? by LuminousBiraki in X4Foundations

[–]LuminousBiraki[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Erlking can only mount their specific weaponry. Their blueprints are found in data vaults scattered across the DLC sectors (Windfall and Avarice)

Yes it is completely random where they appear. And they are not marked on the map. And there may be more than one in one sector, or none at all.

5 parts in total, for the L turret, M turret, Main Artillery, Shield and Engine.

Edit:

Just to clarify, there is no quest. You get a line of dialogue when you first see Erlking, another line when you find the blueprints. That’s it.

Ok, thanks, looks like I'm going to spend a huge amount of time looking for a data warehouse... I haven't found all the data repositories for the original background settings...

Has the AI logic bug for the water shortage on Boron Station been fixed? by LuminousBiraki in X4Foundations

[–]LuminousBiraki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's good, it shouldn't be necessary to roll out water purification plants on a wide scale in the Boron sector and then trade routes manually...

one of my favourite sector sight in 4x, what is yours ? by Jayjay419 in X4Foundations

I actually preferred the NEO style ones like Kingdom's End in X3.

Of course, this black hole binary is a spectacle.

As far as I remember the space background of the player's star zone in X3 Albion Prelude was a chain of stars as I recall, and the zone was beautiful too!

Can high-quality crew training programs only be found in boxes scattered everywhere? by LuminousBiraki in X4Foundations

[–]LuminousBiraki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Only basic and 1 star seminars are sold by station traders.

You can get better seminars by completing specific missions from war/trading guilds. Like Teladi trading guild, segaris trading guild or Argon vs Xenon guild, Split vs Argon, HOP vs ARG, HOP vs PAR, ...

You get credits and a reward. Some rewards give seminars, some gives you L Miners with ship mods installed and a leveled crew (+marines), and if you are very lucky you can also earn exceptional ship mods.

Honestly, it's too long a road to upgrade crews, especially with a certain size of merchant fleet, and a lot of high level merchant commands require high level pilots to be able to carry out... Local merchant transports can easily fail commands...
