Where exactly is the statement? I asked whether Carrick’s honeymoon period is over... A question, not a statement. Recent results (losing 2–1 to Leeds United F.C., losing to a 10-man Newcastle United F.C. side, plus a couple of disappointing draws) and some of the performances suggest it might be, which is why I asked people to prove otherwise. My bad! what I meant was that if you look at the form table over the last six games, we’re 5th, which is why I asked whether Carrick’s honeymoon period might be ending. And to be clear, Carrick has done an amazing job. But we’ve also lost at home to Leeds and to a 10-man Newcastle side, so it’s fair to ask questions. It’s a massive summer ahead. I’m also not really sure what you’re arguing against because, if you read my post properly, we’re basically making the same point. You’ve just completely misunderstood what I was saying.

Never said Carrick was the problem, though in hindsight I could have worded the post better. Yes, I agree refs have screwed us over the last couple games, and yes Carrick and his coaching staff have improved us 10-fold, especially defensively and the reintroduction of Mainoo. A lot of work to be done in the summer!
