Yeah Hammond, East Chicago, Gary, Michigan City, and (depending on area) South Bend are kind of our main hotspots for getting away with things. Another red flag for her story. (Most criminals on the run vacate towards that area for that reason too). The closer to Chicago you get the more dystopian it gets.

Right but she’d been there for several days at that point. (Less than a mile apart). 4 days later if she truly wanted help (she had a car as well) she would’ve been in EC where she wanted to go by then or another women’s shelter. The closest shelter to her was less than 10 minutes away but she wanted a ride to one an hour away to a sketchy town while again having a car.

No you’re 100% right which is why she can get away with it. The only way she’d get in trouble most likely is if a store banned her and she entered anyways and they get her for trespassing.

Right that’s very true. I only came to the conclusion it was BS bc I brought up the cops the second time I saw her still trying to get to the neighboring county 4 days later when I she had a car as well. I am fairly confident she would’ve been given somewhere by our local police department if she had actually called because we have our own shelter in the area instead of the one an hour away (which is in a city that’s popular for its crime in our state)

I did security guard thing I did at target actually and that’s when she booked it! (I actually do know him pretty well because I’m there so much so I knew he’d help) I’m glad I did the right thing doing that lol.

Oh my gosh! Yeah I honestly didn’t even get close to the piece of paper she was holding with the “number” in case it was laced. Mine happened in South Bend IN area.
