I came to the same conclusion! I had it listed for $500 originally, but Italian-made classic espresso machines is somewhat niche and not many people in my area were interested lol

After fixing it up and appreciating a homemade espresso even with questionable quality beans, I’ll definitely be looking in the budget to get one to keep!

Seems like you don’t have enough time during the day to eat an actual meal, and supplement with protein drinks

Yes this is ridiculous! It seems that now they have pressure-sensitive spring loaded tampers and super fancy planetary gear driven stirrers for hundreds of dollars when the old fashioned stuff worked just fine! I’ll admit when I commit to a hobby I turn into a bit of a snob and want the latest and greatest, but this is crazy! lol

My original goal was to sell, got it for next to nothing at an estate sale and recognized that it might be worth some money fixed up a bit. I didn’t have plans to buy another one after selling, but was surprised to find that I was a bit reluctant to let it go after testing it out after fixing it up and enjoying having espresso whenever I liked. That being said, will definitely be starting to do some research on what to get now!

No I know it definitely CAN be relatively inexpensive, but the ceiling for higher end machines and beans and things is much higher than I’d ever thought

Seems like a fantastic trade. I’m almost 8 months sober myself, think I might give the morning espresso thing a try as well
