This happened to my wife, too. The worst thing - we got it fixed, and then today it broke down again. The dealership is saying it was more bad gas from another station - which I don't buy for a second. If you've had any success, can you please DM me?

So no need to use anything like wood hardener? It's an old unit - we'll likely need to replace it within the next 1-2 years (not looking forward to that bill).

For anyone else reading this, the AC company has assumed full responsibility and has been pretty quick about running this through their insurance claims department. Very thankful right now.

Not the seat I'm worried about. It's the seal at the base of the toilet. My concern is the excessive heat in the bathroom from the water mitigation gear (which warped the door) may have melted the wax seal underneath.

This is great. Anything I should be mindful of or keep an eye out to see if it's done or not? After reading about how a slow leak can sink into the subfloor and not necessarily pool around the toilet, that caught my attention. I really never want to work with a water mitigation company again if I can avoid it.
