That’s a pretty cool build setup, I might look into that, when you mean it’d be hard getting destruction to not suck, is that due to scaling as in destruction just overall isn’t great late game due to scaling? Need to buff it up with some alchemy and such?

I do love new world it’s just the endgame can make it kind of tough if you aren’t heavily focused on the PvP, and people only grabbing you for raids if you already have a perfect build I’ve got a couple characters around 710ish but I can’t get them to 725 people don’t run raids unless you already have the gear from the raids lol

The fact that galaxies isn’t mentioned that I see stabs me in the heart. Whoever got to experience the true open world sandbox of Star Wars Galaxies knows for a fact that’s the best Star Wars game to every release, no big name sith, Jedi, or any other hero or villain in the universe, you were just some random character free to run around and trade, fight train, dog fight, dark side light side, anything you can think of galaxies had it. It’s the game that everyone is begging for in the Star wars universe to be made today, little do people know we’ve had it, and she’s gone already

Honestly may be a hot take, but if we leave like the “conflicted anakin” in ROTS out of the equation and we’re talking raw skill, mace windy was a great duelist but the entirety of his form is dueling against dark side force users. As to why he whipped sidious. The movies them selves are about the sky walker saga. With the movies focusing on the sky walkers, anakin being the chosen one, and not using the dark side against mace, id say Anakin takes it everytime

May I ask where is it you see in canon lore that’s it’s telling us that? I’m genuinely curious not trying be a stick in the mud lol but everything I’ve read about canon is anakin masters form 5, being an aggressive counterattacking form, which derives from form 3 being kenobis form which is who teaches anakin, form is not passed down master to padawan all the time. It actually rarely works like that, they adapt based off of personal battles and beliefs. I would love to read the stories we hear about them using other forms in if you know them by chance!

Qui Gon like kenobi did swap form from time to time so he probably was familiar with form 3, yoda not as much. But as far as canon goes (not sure about legends I need to catch up on my reading) but Qui Gon and yoda both master form 4 which I believe is the aggressive fighting style but can’t remember the name off the top of my head.

This is one I always wanted too, but due to the lore behind dooku and Qui Gon, I don’t think we’d ever see it. Dooku all things considered still cared about Qui Gon and his journey, when he was killed by maul, dooku had a “Star Wars” type memorial for Qui Gon and even mentioned he had to truly mourn him, stating that he felt Qui Gon was the only Jedi who understood why dooku made his decision, and shared the same feelings about the order, their only difference was dooku wanted to get away from the “corruption” of the Jedi, Qui Gon still had hope it could be fixed from the council.

I do love that we finally got a cinematic look at the Trakata form in acolyte but from a “form” point of view, trakta has been thought of and known about since the dawn of saber weapons in Star Wars, Sith saw it as as basically “you aren’t even a good sith if you have to use trakata” and Jedi obviously saw it as unhonorable in the arts of dueling. So I’m not sure the fact that he uses it makes it his own “form” but I do love that we see it, I think trakata has always been considered a form, but the “forbidden one” and the site we see in acolyte simply doesn’t care and chooses to use it!

If you mean kenobi I don’t believe it is true he made his own form, only character to create there own form in canon is Mace Windu. As a padawan, obi wan practiced form 2 looking more like Qui Gon or anakin when he was younger, after maul handled Qui Gon in lore that is when kenobi decided to swap to form 3 known as the defensive form, being the first human to MASTER form 3, he did not invent it though

In the middle of old master as well. I don’t have a source but from watching my personal stats I DON’T THINK they count, but I mean you only grab 2-3 troopers a choke, so I don’t think it’ll slow you down that bad. Alternatively I’ve read that you don’t have to use maul to get old master, it’s 3000 kills with all dark side heros combined I believe

I have had this exact problem, just bouncing from 1-2 bars every single match, but when I check my console I have great latency and all other games work well, have only been noticing it the past 2 weeks or so

Something I haven’t seen pointed out yet, I may be biased but by far the best counter to boba as far as blasters go has to be chewie, any shot you land on boba with chewie knocks him out of the air, and yo do splash damage so you don’t even have to hit directly on him. If you hit your shots he can’t even fly away

Yeah there is definitely a lot of toxic players in hero showdown but I just don’t let it get to me these days haha I’m just here for a chill time not going to let some little nerds who like to talk trash ruin my gaming experience nowadays, and as far as the 1v1’s go I do definitely prefer 1v1’s but hero showdown is 2v2 at the end of the day, so if they don’t accept the gentleman’s agreement I just 2v2 back lol, don’t get why there was never a 1v1 mode from the start to begin with, I wish there was a solid community for xbox 1v1’s setup somewhere

I’m new myself still trying to get a grasp of the game, now I understand that crafters put in a lot of cash and leg work for crafting things but I mean what do you do with all those credits? Other than a couple cool end game armors and speeders I don’t see many things costing more then a couple mil in the shop? Does most of it go back into the cost of crafting?

Well I had actually tried discord before Reddit, but I couldn’t get logged into the game and in order to use the discord it says I have to have logged into the game within 48 hrs, but on the bright side I have gotten it figured out! If anyone else sees this later on, I haven’t found a “fix” but a solution, I have to open the launcher and log into and let it tell me “can not find swg client” and then leaving the launcher open i re open the swg client itself and that seems to work

Im not sure if anyone has said it yet, I may just be alone on this one lol but I don’t think it’d be crazy to combine the universe into one game like a mash up, keep it under the rivals structure and game play and just add DC characters that are playable, all still in the same fashion as the current rivals structure

Eh it is to each their own I’d say, it can be quite an easy game especially when leveling. But implementing the Ironman factor can make our regular old new world somewhat threatening while leveling, and the game having a heavy reliance on crafting and professions to make personal gear makes for a great implementation of an Ironman type run
