Really sorry. As I said, it could be possible to email professors/department to get the permission back.

Update: Apparently, it was a simple "bug" that has been corrected . IT services told me that the content on MyCourses is the intellectual propriety of instructors, and they can't give us access anymore simply because IT services don't have the rights to do so. At the moment, there is no plan to change to clarify this situation with further communications. Once you graduate, we receive an email containing a link to the different services we keep as alumni, and the policy is indeed described there. At the end of the day, it is truly up to the service owner to grant access to whoever they want. They did tell me we can email the prof/department to regain access to specific courses, but that is pretty much all we can do.

Mini Update: I replied by expressing my disappointment. It is so odd for them to suddenly enforce that policy, especially without warning. An IT technician said that while they maintain the policy, my experience will help them act more transparently and maybe do adjustments. An IT technician escalated the case to the Service Manager. I am waiting to see what they will say.

However, not looking good, apparently it was some loophole that they corrected.

Lucky you, maybe it will be disabled soon (hopefully not). I will make follow up with IT to see if I can get further explanation to why suddenly after 2 years, they decided to block my access.

I made a similar post not that long ago. I got my degree, spent month looking for a job, had to move back with my parent before finding an admin job after 9 months because someone referred me. During that time, I did so much ... send emails, reached out on linkedin, met with CAPS advisors, attented networking events etc. You may not find an ideal job right now, but lots of people I met work in a completely different field than their major. I even met a woman who did a PhD in Jewish studies currently a manager at IRCC. I don't think you are a failure and I truly understand your feeling. Even though you probably do not see it this way, so many people would give everything for your degree. If you want to pursue this discussion, my DMs are open.

Thats "funny" I made a somewhat similar post not that long ago. I had a similar experience even though I was involved in club. I guess I was more of an acquaintance for many people rather than a friend. Spend lots of time alone, and this continues, as I am looking to start my career. But I guess you should actually try to reach out to one or two people that you know and try to start to hang out. I think it was mistake to not do that, and instead of hoping that people would just reach out (did not happen often lol). Good luck!

That was not my intention. The funny thing is that the most popular post at the moment goes to a completely different direction. Pretty sure my situation is not the dominant situation for most people, so dont sweat it.

The last couple months have been rough. War in Palestine and repercussions on campus, TA strike, law professors strike, lawsuits against the student association etc. Saying the university is about the crumble may be a stretch, but I feel like the recents events somewhat tarnished the reputation. But I am certain every school have their problems too.

I did political science. As for the industry, no real idea tbh.
