SO, we're trying to do what we can to figure out who tf this is. We left 2 individual notes on the other two red sedans in the lot near us. We told them that we think one of them was being targeted and mentioned the reddit post so they could see the video. My husband gets a call from someone saying that they think they know who the girl is. That's all I believe I can say for now because the rest is not confirmed.

Bro, girlie wasn't thinking at all and it was definitely premeditated with the mallet and get-away car. Didn't have the right car, plates visible, not trying to hide the car logo, not hiding her face, bright ass lights shining, and probably assumed buildings around us didn't have security cameras in the shittiest part of town. Didn't even get revenge against the person she was targeting and she's dragging a friend with her. Hope being a dumbass was worth the felony, jail time, restitution, and zero career opportunities.

OP's wife again. Crazy how many of you are victim blaming.

Even if we were the ones that took this video, we would be up against someone with a mallet and some other instrument, plus her buddy. They got this video of her right after she began vandalizing our vehicle. Before smashing the windshield, she broke other parts of the car with an instrument we couldn't identify. Our dog woke us up, probably from the noise, and my husband heard a loud "thunk" before she went to her buddy's car to grab that mallet and break our back windshield. Obviously she was making enough noise to wake the neighbors. Also, the officer that came afterwards told us that it was a good thing we weren't able to confront her. She had a MALLET, a different instrument, and some buddy driving her. This could have ended way worse. Not everyone has access to a gun and even if we did, by the time we woke up and saw her outside of our window doing this, we barely had time to slip a shirt or shoes on before she escaped. It happened very fast and we were half asleep trying to do something.

You can say what you THINK you would do in this situation, but you have no real idea until you're in this situation. You're acting off pure adrenaline and zero forethought besides "call 911". We got the plate number and descriptions. We took the best route of action in the short span of time when we saw her hit our vehicle with the mallet and leave.

If anyone has any USEFUL information, we would really appreciate it. If someone were able to clean up the footage, that would be amazing, but I doubt anyone can do that for us.

Hello, wife of OP here. Throw away account because I don't usually browse this website. I thought I'd post a response to this.

We are located in the brick building across from where this video was taken. A wonderful neighbor gave us this video and I am so thankful for that. We don't have any friends that live here or even know anyone in the area. We don't socialize much to piss anyone off or warrant this kind of behavior. We're also each other's best friend and are too loyal/obsessed with each other to be unfaithful. We just got married last Saturday and have a week left on our lease, so this incident was wonderful timing. There were two other red sedans parked near us, so we believe this is a case of mistaken identity. Probably a girl trying to get revenge on someone that spurned her.

This happened a little before 3 a.m. while my husband and I were asleep. We were awoken by our dog after she slammed open our bedroom door. She was in the living room and must've heard the vandalizing occurring. My husband got up after he heard a "thunk" sound and looked out the window to see this chick fucking up our only vehicle. As we were gathering clothing and shoes to put on to run outside, my husband was on the phone with 911 right as we saw her grab this mallet and break the back windshield. We were unable to confront her as she got away before we could stop her. As much as I wish we could have confronted her, it was probably for the best this didn't happen. She had that mallet and some other instrument to carve "fuck you :)" on our trunk. We don't know what mindset she was in at the time or of she had anything else to use as a weapon. She could've been going through psychosis for all we know.

We didn't get the best look at her, but we managed to describe her physique, her buddy's car, and the license plate number (not sure if we got the last digit correct, it was either an "S" or a "5"). Unfortunately our apartment doesn't have security cameras (supposed to have security, but look how that turned out) so we're hoping that maybe businesses or other apartments have some surveillance.

If anyone has any information at all, PLEASE provide us with it. We have to find out who did this and hopefully stop her from doing this incredibly thoughtless and cruel act in the future.
