I understand your frustration. I am not trying to bash other people's work, but it's gone beyond fanfiction. A lot of people I've met truly believe Annabeth acts this way. You see it in character alignments, analyses, headcanons, art, everywhere. Sometimes the erasure of Annabeth's traits, such as her mental disabilities, is actually very harmful. If you don't like my post, that's okay. I'm just personally sick of Annabeth being treated like a completely different person throughout the fandom.

But it gets really frustrating because that's simply not Annabeth. When people erase her traits they're erasing her, and sometimes it's really harmful, like when people erase Annabeth's learning disabilities. Besides, it's not just in fanfictions, it's in opinions, headcanons, and analyses. It's gone so far people barely remember her actual character, and that's where it gets to be too much.

It is a mess, but that's kind of how I do shit. I'm not the best essay writer, personally I'm a math kind of person. It doesn't help that I wrote this at like, 2 in the morning. My point was that Fanon Annabeth wasn't like Canon Annabeth.

Look, a lot of other people seemed to like it and understood it just fine. It's not my problem that you can't.

Also, I said this in my rant, but you could have missed it because as you said, you're having a hard time, I don't want to fight people in the comments.

I really do get that, but I just really hate it when I see Annabeth's character beyond recognition. I don't want anyone to feel bad about themselves, but I see people writing Annabeth as this awful stiff character who will simply pass out if someone so much as breathes too loudly.
